I have used Patons Classic Worsted in 2 color felting designs. I have tried several yarns and this was the best for evenness of felting and clarity of color.
It is a nice vibrant red, perfect for hats or scarves or even sweaters. Love that it's a wool product and soft, not angora soft but not scratchy and great tk knit with
I bought this as a contrast colour for the Check Mate Fair Isle Hat. Now that I've knitted the hat I wish I'd bought another 2 skeins as I'm now knitting reversible scarf and it need 3 balls at least. It's so lustrous and when lightly blocked it is so soft and warm.
Patons classic wool,is the best for making very warm socks.The wool never has knots in the strand,it is just lovely to work with.

Very nice quality yarn. It was great to work with and doesn't have an itchy texture when used for hats.
Have made a number of articles with this yarn and find it very easy to work with. Because it is wool, it has some scratchy bits in it but overall it works up beautifully.
I've bought this yarn in Basil, and in Scarlet and both times the yarn has arrived much much more bright and vibrant than the image, which is disappointing considering the colors look very muted (which is what i wanted) online. actual yarn is nice to use and a nice texture.
I just bought two skeins of this in black. I like center pull skeins UNLESS it's impossible to get the center pull beginning strand out of the center of the skein. I loathe hate detest despise yarn Barf. The picture says a lot, yes, but when I hold it in my hand, it feels like it barfed out half of the skein. It knits up well, but the mess takes away SO much time and enjoyment. Why can't we stop yarn barf?
Colors not as pictures - it came out so much darker than pictures!!
