The room felt about 10 degrees cooler and the damp muskyness was going away. I would highly recommend this to anyone who has concrete walls or floors like an apartment

This machine has amazed me at the amount of moisture there is in my home. I do not have a wet basement or live in am old home. It was built in 90's and well kept. In a days time I have to empty this machine at least 5 times!! It holds a lot of water, and by the way it starts with no water, basically it is like turning on a fan. I definitely am very pleased with this machine, and it's effectiveness.

It arrived really well packaged, and once I unboxed it was incredibly easy to move around. It has really high-quality wheels and moves very easily in any direction. It does what it claims - love it!
I keep a dehumidifier in our finished basement, in a built in nook with a drainage hose to a utility sink. I am limited to purchasing a 30 pint machine with an intake vent in the front, and specifically one with a drainage outlet on the back. This will be the 3rd unit in the last 15 years, so overall I have been getting some good life out of these machines. My last machine was a Frigidaire, that sounded like a jet plane every time it clicked on. This Arctic King is significantly less noisy and puts out significantly less heat than the Frigidaire. The warm air flows out the right side of the machine and the intake is directly in the front. The humidity in the basement was running at around 60% and the machine over the last 4 hours has already pulled it down to 45%! Pretty incredible! The only downside, and this is because I have my machine in a nook, is that I cannot see the digital readout very well. It would be nice if the could angle the readout forward to make it easier to adjust the controls. I am glad I went on line and did my research, otherwise I would have gone to Home Depot or Lowes and paid more for a machine that was rated worse. Consumer Reports really likes this Arctic King....and so do I. If I can get 3-4 years with this machine, I will be quite happy!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got this dehumidifier for our finished basement which gets damp and develops a musty smell on rainy days. The enclosed manual provided detailed instructions for easy set up. I took it out of the box, plugged it into the outlet and the humidity level was set to 50%, which is what I prefer. Thus, it was ready to use right out of the box! It has several nice features such as the ability to change the humidity level, a digital readout of the humidity level in the room, casters for easy mobility, compact yet efficient, auto-shut off when it reaches the set humidity level, or when the water bucket fills up, a clear window to see water level in the bucket and easy to read/use controls. Our basement is approximately 350 sq. ft. and it has done a fantastic job of removing the dampness and odors. The water bucket is small and only hold 20 pints, yet I have not needed to empty it yet after several days of using it. For more humid or larger rooms, it does have the capacity of running constantly if a hose is run from the back of the dehumidifier to a floor drain. There are two only negatives, first it is semi-loud, even at the lowest fan speed. We have turned it off when are viewing TV because it interferes with audibility. Secondly, the bucket is slightly hard to remove to empty and put back. I am hoping, with enough usage, it will become easier. Apart from these, I am very happy with this unit. I highly recommend this unit for anyone who has concerns with humid rooms. You will immediately notice the difference and value the health and energy efficiency benefits.

My apartment is woods facing, I started noticing a lot of moisture and steam on my windows, floors were kind of wet and most importantly my closet is inside the bathroom , having this dehumidifier is a game changer. I see lot of difference now specialy in closet. I don't have to run it 24 hrs, it shows amazing results within couple of hrs. We were surprise to see how much water collected in tray in just 2 hrs. It easy to use, runs quietly, the size isn't too big, and rolls very smoothly which makes it easy to move around. I love that u can set timer and humidity level. It even took that musty and mildewy smell out and promotes healthy air quality. It does what it claims - We love it ! and Highly recommend it.

I started noticied a lot of moisture and steam on my windows and waking up with joint aches from the humidity in my room. I decided to give this a chance and I am so glad I did. I noticing a significant difference in the first night. It has easy to use electronic controls, its on wheels so I can move it from room to room. The water tank is easily accessible, and it has an overflow auto shut off so I dont have to worry about a water spillage mess. The water filters are washable which is super convenient and I love that it has a 2 speed fan. The amount of water it removes in 24 hours is really impressive. You dont realize how much moisture is in the air until you get a dehumidifier. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to reduce moisture in their home.

This machine is very powerful and efficient by controlling and maintaining my house environment air clean and dry. This small appliance is heavy but the built in wheels make it easy to move around. Is very easy to use and clean, the key pad functions are amazing and easy understand, the motor is silent and has a light indicator everytime the filter needs to be cleaned. Another great advantage is that is energy star, and filter is washable to save you money. This product, really exceeds my expectations, and i personally recommended to anyone having issues with humidity and results will be immediately, with more quality air ventilation and by keeping away bad smells caused by damp. After using this dehumidifier, my allergies disappear, now i can breath better and the air is more healthy in my home...
Having just received it, I can't speak much about its overall performance. However, one issue I do have is that when using the hose discharge, the bucket continues to fill because there is another hole in the water collection tray which allows the condensate to drip into the bucket instead of going to the drain hose. Some water does go into the hose, though. Which means it wont run all night long. It will run until the bucket gets full, then shut off. So, in the week I've had it, the optional continuous drain feature is useless.
