This crib was easy to assemble and looks great. The color of the wood was a little more red then we had expected but we love it! The wood is very strong and sturdy.
I have absolutely loved this crib. The picture online doesn't do justice to how beautiful it is. The only problem is the rails do not come with it. I'm not even sure where to purchase them.
This crib is sooo pretty, it is durable, sturdy, & expensive looking. The only thing that I do not like about is that you can not attached a mobile to it.
Beautiful crib, matches the Beatrice Cognac dressers much better than the original crib we ordered. Major problem, nowhere on the product page does it say that the convertible rails are sold separately, nor does the website appear to carry them. A convertible crib isn't much use if you can't purchase the items to convert it. Overall, it is a beautiful piece, and we do really like it.
The main thing I want to say is that the color is NOT what you see in the picture on walmart's website. It is not that brown, and it is more like a light cherry wood. I ended up really liking the color after all but was definitely not what I was expecting. Also, the directions to put it together were horrible. They did not make any sense. My suggestion is after getting the sides of the crib assembled with these instructions, I would throw the rest out and use common sense. We tried to use them for the whole crib but the last few things just was stupid so we finished putting it together the way it looked like it should and it worked. Just be careful not to put the front and back of the crib on backwards...which is easy to do. Other than the color being misleading and the instructions being terrible, it is a beautiful crib and looks way more expensive than what it cost. It also feels pretty sturdy and I plan on using it for my sons full size bed when he's done with it as a crib which is awesome. Two last things I wish I knew about when I was buying it, is that you can see some of the screws and holes when looking at it from the front and you cant put anything in them to hide them because of the babies safety. The other thing is that most crib bedding has to be kind of rigged up to fit onto this crib because of its design. Mine was new but just didn't fit right and I've heard many others say this as well. Overall, I would totally buy this crib again and is very much worth what I paid for it!
I like this crib a lot. The color is like an antique light cherry. The color in the picture is darker. The Storkcraft website gives a better color of what it actually looks like. It is very sturdy. The wood is soft so it dents easy. I needed a second crib since we converted our first one and didn't want to spend very much. I was worried about buying furniture from Walmart but the Price is GREAT for the quality!! I would recommend. Same crib is higher else where! It took about 1 and 1/2 hours to put together.
I was very pleasedl. It is a very pretty crib. The only thing....the fastening system for the top rails is chinsy. We will probably have to address that later on. But over all, very good value for the money. fyi, Target and Babies 'r' us have the same crib for $30 more.
Great value for price! I loved it even more than I thought I would after we put it together. The only thing I didn't like were the instructions to put it together. Between three of us, it took many times of putting pieces together and taking them back apart because the instructions were not very user friendly, but we stuck w/it and it's beautiful! Have patients w/the instructions.
I loved this crib! Looks great, great price, but here are the issues I've learned over the years (we've owned it for 3 years)...First, it is hard to tie bumpers to it because of the large board, second, there are no rails available for the toddler bed, nor the full size bed. I liked it as a toddler bed, but would have liked a rail. As a full bed, it is useless. I had to purchase metal rails from a mattress store. The problem is the way they connect to the bed. They do not use large bolds to hold the rails in place. It uses small screws that move and anytime an adult sat on the bed, the mattress fell through. We've bought BabyMod cribs from this site, and they convert much better. Buy the rails now so you have them when you need them!
The product showed up and the box was really banged up. There was plenty of cushion in the box, so we took delivery. Now, we had heard of all the problems with getting parts, parts not being in the box, and we just kind of ignored it. When we opened the box, there were a few scratches and no hardware. We also ordered the matching chest and it had several pieces wrong as well. On the otherhand, the color was nice. If you need an inexpensive piece of furniture, you might give this some thought, but make sure you have several weeks before you need it, so you can order in the parts you need to put it together before the baby arrives.
