I love to wear my favorite ballerina flats to work, but my feet get sweaty and a little smelly during the summer without socks to wick the moisture (you can't really wear socks with ballet flats, unfortunately). I've been looking for a way to make them more comfortable and less smelly, so I decided to try Arm and Hammer Odor Defense Shoe Refresher Spray. The angled spray nozzle makes it very easy to use. You simply angle the nozzle toward the toe area of your shoes and spray generously. You immediately notice the lovely, fresh scent, which lingers in your shoes all day. I found that the spray lasts a single day in the summer heat, but that's okay with me because it really is a big difference.
This is a great little spray to help make shoes and sports equipment smell new and fresh again. After a long day of work or walking about, my feet and shoes really do begin to smell. This refresher spray provides a nice refreshing smell that counteracts the more putrid odors. To open, simply twist the knob to the unlock position and press down and spray. To lock it back up, just twist back. It does more than simply cover up the smells, but rather destroys the odors, making shoes ready to be used again in the morning. A great product!

This may sound funny, but I actually chose this product for my 19 month old son. I love the little guy...but my goodness, he has got some smelly feet and toes. This product is super easy to use. You simply twist the top to the unlock area and spray. You can then lock it back so that it does not accidentally get knocked over and spray. It has a nice fragrance but is not overbearing. It comes in a 4 ounce pressurized spray container. You can easily store it in a cabinet or sports bag. In fact, once my 7 year old starts back sports this coming school year, I plan to use this on his sports equipment, shoes, sports bag, etc., as well as my 5 year old daughter during her cheer season. I will more than likely just keep a can handy at home, in the van or even in their sports bags. The scent seems to have helped my 19 month olds shoes tremendously. I just give a few touch-up sprays here & there and his shoes are good to go again. I will definitely be investing in these as my kids get older. I would definitely recommend this product.
This Arm & Hammer Odor Defense Shoe Refresher Spray is in fresh scent. I don't know if it comes in any other scents or not. It, obviously, has fragrance in it and baking soda. It is a 4 ounce can. You shake it well before use and then turn the nozzle to the right to unlock the sprayer. You hold the can upside down in the shoe and press the lever to spray it. It has a pleasant, not overwhelming, scent. It is easy to use. It “Refreshes & Rejuvenates shows, sneakers & sports gear” according to the label. It comes with a money back guarantee and the Arm & Hammer seal. It is suggested for best results to spray and leave set overnight. The only thing I don't like about it is that the force of the spray into the toe of the shoe kind of forces back spray onto your fingers and/or hand. It washes off easily enough, I could just do without the back spray. I sprayed it into all of my sneakers (old and new) and my winter boots (short and tall). Since I just sprayed them and they haven't had a chance to “set” and all that, I don't notice that much difference. If someone has very stinky shoes, I would suggest using it daily. I do trust the Arm & Hammer brand, so I'm not doubting that this spray does as they claim. I would recommend this shoe refresher.
Tried this on a number of different types of people and shoes. Everyone said it helped their shoes be fresher. The best test was on work boots, with this summer heat where I live, 90 degrees. Those working inside said it helped their feet feel better. Those who work outside said it helped keep their feet cooler while working outside. My son does industrial roofing, and he said it helped keep his feet dryer and cooler than not having sprayed it in his work boots. Two thumbs up!
I was wondering if this will knock out the stink odor in my flats. Every women knows how stinky flats can get. The top is made to fit down inside your shoe. You press the bottle down inside the shoe and it sprays throughout the shoe. I love the design of the top because your hands don't have to get any product on them. When I sprayed my shoe the smell knocked out right away. My husdid his work boots and even sprayed his work vest. It doesn't leave a coating or residue after spraying.
Received this product to test so don't know how much you have to pay for it, but I find it is not a bad product. Since our shoes are not worn all the time, we are retired and don't wear shoes in the house, they really don't have a bad odor in them. None the less I did spray several pairs of gym style shoes both my husband and mine. The odor of the spray is pleasant and the product is very easy to operate. You shake the can, turn the head and then turn can upside down and spray into the shoe. When finish with the spraying, then you turn the head to the off position so it cannot be used. The product suggests using at night time so it has an opportunity to work. I found that the next morning, the shoes had no odor and were completely dry to wear. If you have a problem with stinky shoes, then I think this product will be good for you. I would recommend this product to a friend.
This Arm & Hammer shoe spray has saved my nose on several occassions. I have 3 stinky shoe men/boys in my house. I had them all use this spray in the sneakers and work boots. It was fantastic. I could walk thru the front door again without smelling all their smelly shoes. They use the spray about once a week and I am very grateful. I would recommend this produce....for your nose.
