I bought this for my 83 year old father so he wouldn't need to boil water on the stove for his instant coffee, oatmeal, etc. He likes it and it works really well but I'd like to see a timer on it just in case you don't want it to heat 24/7. I put it on a timer so that it just heats during the day and turns off at night.
My husband drinks instant coffee, and I drink hot tea. We've been buying countless coffeemakers and warming plates over the years just to have hot water available when we need it. Finally, I decided to check on the internet since we were once again in need of something, and I came across this product. I wish I would have found this years ago! It's perfect for our needs and the water doesn't evaporate quickly. I think it's the best thing since sliced bread! We have been using it for a month or so now, and just love it! I would highly recommend this product to anyone. The real test will be to see how long it lasts. I've plugged it into a timer so it can shut off during the night and come back on in time for us to want our first cup of the day, and it's working out great!
I was originally shopping around for a Keurig machine. After reading plenty of customer reviews I decided that a Keurig machine wouldn't be worth it for me since I don't drink coffee, just hot tea and hot chocolate (and the hot chocolate K-cups got lousy reviews) So I ended up finding this and I read the reviews and decided to try it. I'm SO GLAD I did, it's exactly what I need. You fill it with 3 liters of water and plug it in and it boils the water and then keeps it warm. The only thing I would change about this hot pot is that there is no power switch on it, it's on all the time as long as it's plugged in so I'm probably going to follow the advice of another review I read and get a little timer to shut it off at night when it doesn't need to be running. It's the perfect thing for someone that drinks a lot of hot tea or hot chocolate and doesn't want to be running to the microwave all the time. My husband also made Ramen noodles with it and he said it worked just fine. I will most definitely replace this when it stops working, I don't want to be without it.
I've been told that since our area has hard water, that eventually I will have trouble cleaning it out. I've had it for several weeks, and so far there is no sign of mineral deposits. Otherwise, I'm very happy with this water heater. It does exactly what I want, and fast too.
I'm glad I got this because I'm able to have hot drink whenever I want. It's easy to operate and clean.
