I bought this and love it. The label says it just has coconut and water in it. Above on the left you have a picture of a label that shows potassium metabisulfate (preservative). Can you explain to me why it says two different things about that right here on this page? Has it been changed? I love the stuff.. because it has no preservative!
Great coconut milk. This is the only one I can find that has a nice light coconut flavor and does not have all sorts of gums and additives in it. I like to put it in the refrigerator and then skim off the congealed coconut oil from the top and whip that like whip cream. A great non-dairy alternative.
Lots of cream, minimal liquid, very good flavour. Low ingredient list. High coconut content
I'm not sure why this brand of coconut milk isn't more popular. It's the best one Walmart sells. It's really creamy and blends well into curries and soups. Far superior to goya, thai kitchen etc.
I've tried many different brands of coconut milk (which I use for thai/singapore curries & laksas) and this is the best I've found in Canada. It is sometimes difficult to find in 'regular' grocery stores and when I do find it it is rather expensive. I was pleased to find it in Walmart at a reasonable price so now I always add 5-6 cans to any Walmart order I place.
I bought this because it was a great price compared to every other store. I also got tired of physically going into the store and not finding enough of this product on the shelf. My one complaint is that many of my cans came dented. I think that was the fault of the company who shipped it.
I no longer buy any coconut milk from Thai as the serious abuse and monkey's chained, beaten and piled in cages. Chaokoh was pulled off of most grocery chains and I think Walmart is participating in banning this and all coconut milk from Thailand!! Will still be a customer as we all will boycott this product .
Dented cans. Frustrating to find non dented ones.
I but this milk all the time and this week when I bought it the can has a paper label covering the old ingredients list. It now lists polysorbate 60 as an ingredient. I won't be buying this again.
I got two cans totally dented. I got refund yet I was waiting for these cans and they are no good. Why would they pack up messed up cans or messed up food? People like that should get it out their check.
