The brushing process is faster than you would think - when I first saw the Black Badger Brush I thought it was cool but I never imagined I would have the time to use it in the morning before speeding off to work. I have not stopped shaving with the brush since I tried it! I am not a man who spends long on beauty regiment or personal care, but the results of these products have changed how I spend time in the bathroom. Even when the clock is running fast there is time between the first cup of coffee and running out the door for a quality shave using the Black Badger Brush and the 4 Element process. Not only is the difference felt but it can also be seen. Try it!
I switched from the Pure Badger hair brush to the AMAZING Silvertip. Still can not believe that a change in brush can do so much to improve an already amazing shave product line. Used less shave cream however produced a much richer lather. The brush is soft and glides across you skin effortlessly. This brush is the the perfect match for the perfect shave.
I've used badger brushes for a long time, but I did not have a clue how good it can be until I've bought a Silvertip. It is the best value for my money. I recommend it to everyone.
I have been using the silvertip brush for over two years and, while it was great right out of the box, its performance has improved as I have developed my technique. It is an incredibly smooth and very comfortable way to prepare the skin for shaving. The materials are of high quality and the build is very solid - it looks as good as the day I got it. This is another quality product from AOS.
For the first 6 months I really enjoyed this brush - then it began shedding. Every day it would loose a dozen to two dozen hairs. It quickly became a real nuisance to use - leaving hairs all over my face while trying to shave.
Many of the badger hairs have separated from the brush. I have had the brush for a few months and loose about twenty hairs per shave.
Less than a year and it sheds daily. At this price they sure better replace it! I will keep you posted
I received this brush as a gift in December 2016 and as of today I've already replaced it once and I'm getting ready to replace it again because of severe shedding. I understand it's handmade but there is no reason for 10% loss of bristles in 3 months of use. This time when I return the brush, I'm going to a different one. The feel of the brush is fantastic but the shedding is ridiculous. My last brush went strong for 5-6 years. I have it on a stand and take good care of the brush but it still sheds more than a black lab on a hot summer day.
I received this silvertip shaving brush as a replacement for another silvertip brush that I wore out over the last 20 years. That brush did not lose bristles the way this quite expensive brush does. I wore out the center bristles on the old brush with years of use. Those bristles did not fall out, but rather became shortened, causing a dimple in the center. My wife and daughter decided I needed a replacement, and purchased this new brush for me. I was surprised at the cost, when I looked it up online. As family often does, especially wives and daughters, they would not tell me how much it cost, but told me I was worth it. After I found out the cost, I expected that this brush should last me the rest of my life, as I am in my early 60's. After using it for about 6 months, I realize I will have to replace it in the next 6 months due to the bristles falling out rapidly. I will probably purchase from the company from which I bought my previous brush, as that will get me another 20 years. I would not recommend this brush due to its poor performance on retaining its bristles.
it's a nice soft badger brush but after a couple years use, and despite proper storage in the fancy stand after each use, the bristles are shedding really fast. Store says, sorry, these brushes cannot be expected to last forever. But I was surprised at how soon, given the initial cost.
