It's big and you can have a lot of divisions. It's very practical to move and get organizer.
I got this tote for Christmas to organize my jewelry making supplies. It works great for this. The top compartment is deep enough to hold another organizing box (which I have) and still have room for tools and wire and about anything else you would want to throw into it. The three organizer boxes that come with it have lots of room and plenty of dividers. Only the smallest items will migrate from compartment to compartment so tiny seed beads or thin head pins should be put in a plastic bag to keep from moving around. The compartments without dividers are the right size for tubes of beads and will hold about three tubes. Overall a good buy and very handy.
this is a great storing solution I put it to good use. I wouldnt reccomend using this for small beeds, they seep through onto the other compartments.
I enjoy beading. Now everything that was in 3 different containers is in one. The art bin is lightweight, organized and allows me work as I choose, where I choose. The price was reasonable too. I had looked at many brands and styles of organizer/carryalls and this was the largest, most economical and best designed. I am very happy with my purchase.
I was nervous ordering this sight unseen because I thought it might not be big enough, but it is just the right size. A whole lot of paint tubes, brushes, pallettes, water bowls fit into it perfectly. Everything is neat and organized... It makes it easier to find the color I am looking for more quickly and the handle makes it easy to tote around. The top section is a little strange, seems like there should be accessories sold to go with this bin. From what I have read online there were add-ons to go with this when it used to be used for storing fishing accessories. (Makes perfect sense that this would be used for that purpose too.) But it works great for my painting supplies too. I ordered this Site To Store... I would recommend having it shipped it to your house.
I'd been searching for a desktop storage solution for my sewing supplies for a long time. I'm so glad I found this tote; it's almost perfect. Because of it's height it can sit right behind my sewing machine and still be easily accessible. What I like most, aside from the obvious portability, is the size. The three trays allow for organizing a lot of things. Mine hold sewing machine presser feet, buttons organized by color and fasteners. (My gripe is that although you can divide the trays into 36 compartments each, they don't give you enough dividers to do so.) The slots on the side hold all of the tools I need easy access to -- five scissors, a seam ripper, thread nippers and sewing gauge. The handles of the scissors tend to turn in ways that keep the lid from closing easily. It takes a little adjusting, but it does close. Because of this, I keep it open during my sewing weekends. I close it during the week. I thought the top compartment could have been organized a bit better, but I'm making do. I added the Sew-Lutions Bobbin & Supply Box (purchased on eBay). It fits nicely and rounds out the tote's functionality. It sits on top of randomly thrown in pin boxes, a rotary cutter and other misc. items. I'm glad I bought the Bobbin and Supply Box because it gave me the extra dividers I needed for the tote's three trays. This is wonderful for organizing the sewing supplies you use most often.
The size is perfect and is constructed well. I was disappointed that there are enough dividers for each of the removable trays. So now I have to try and find more plastic dividers that fit.
Everything about this storage container would be near perfect, from ordering, shipping, design of product to price, except all the dividers are not included. I ordered it for the number of compartments only to discover it didn't actually include enough dividers to make all the compartments. I've gone to much more trouble trying to find and order additional dividers than its worth. And on top of the time and trouble, the cost per additional divider has cost .50 each. This is an incomplete item in my opinion. You think you are getting a good deal but only if you only need 12 compartments per bin.
Overall this is good but what the ads don't tell you or show you is the inside of the top compartment. It seems to have been designed for additional, specific, organizers but I have searched the internet and can't even find out what the parts are. There are three areas in the top compartment that need these other parts. On either side of the center portion, there are open slots so that anything you put in could just fall through unless you have the additional parts or 'rig' something. In the center portion it shows "00330 fits here" and on the sides, "1002 fits here". So for 30.00 this could have been a really nice tote/storage box but for one that is not complete and ready to use, not a good deal at all.
