During the tulipmania era, bi-colored tulips were prized by gardeners and artists alike. In fact, one of the top selling tulips during the tulipmania period was a broken-colored, red-and-white variety called 'Semper Augustus'. Often referred to as Rembrandt tulips, bi-colored varieties occur in different classes. In our Garden Escape Artist Collection, we've packaged a brilliant palette of varieties that will transform even the dullest garden into a work of art. The Artist Collection includes 6 bulbs of each of the following 5 varieties: 'Beauty of Volendam' (triumph), 'New Design' (triumph), 'Shirley' (triumph), 'Carnival de Nice' (double late), and Tulipa viridifolia mix (viridiflora). All are hardy from zones 3 to 7.
