This is a nice bed seems pretty sturdy. The bottom drawer is a little flimsy. Does not roll correctly but other than that I am very happy about the product. I used a safety pin to tie the bumper pad to the middle of the bed that was a complaint that I read about. My husband put it together but he is very good and builds furniture all the time. We waited 20 years for our bundle of joy and now have a great bed for him to sleep in.
My son is now a year and a half old, and we love this crib. It was simple to put together (we did follow the directions very closely). One piece was wrong, so we called the customer service number for Storkcraft (listed on the box of parts), spoke with a very helpful customer representative, and the new piece arrived in a timely manner. The side bar operates very smoothly. I am on the short side and use the bar every time I put my son in to sleep. It works well with just one hand and is quiet enough not to rouse my son! We love this crib so much that we plan to get another one for our next child.
This bed goes for about $100-$300 more at other stores. It looks more expensive than what you paid for it. It was easy to put together, all the pieces were in the box with no damage. The Oak color looks more like the Bethany James - Open top sleigh style changing table in wanut, in person than the lighter color shown for the oak on the website. In the pics I posted, you can see that the changing table matches that oak bed perfectly. I was very satisfied with the color being slightly darker. The bed has a chic look with a cheap price!!
First of all this is a beautiful crib! We got the matching changing table/dresser combo and the stain was a perfect match. It didn't really take my husband a very long time to assemble this. A lot less time than it did to assemble the changing table. We never had a problem with the bottom drawer either. Not only did we save money by doing the site to store option but we saved about $50 by going with Wal-Mart and not some other retailer.
It was a very nice looking crib! The only problem was there was already a few nicks in it and the latch on the gate isn't very tight, so you have to be careful to not put much weight on it. It was fairly easy to put together. Took about 2 hours. Very easy and fairly light to move on hardwood floors. The color on the internet is different than what you get but we were happy with it!
this is my 1st baby and i just love this crib ... it was a bit time consuming to bulid since none of the pieces where labeled takes 2 people to build .. nice soild wood work and looks great .. the draw is a bit flimsy but i only use it for crib sheets and it works well for that. i think its worth buying
The product was fairly easy to put together. It took my husband and I about 2 hrs, the directions could have been clearer and it would have been nice if one piece had a lable but it wasn't too hard to figure out. Everything fits together nicely after going through and thoroughly tightening everything. The drop down side is very easy to do with one hand. Our daughter isnt here yet but i feel safe putting her in here. My only complaint is that the picture above, is nothing like the real color. This is what it really looks like...
The crib is simply beautiful! My husband and I assembled it in about 2 hours! Not bad for first timers! Our main complaint is that the drawer is NOT made of the same quality materials as the crib itself! Only the front panel of the drawer is real wood, the remainder of the drawer assembly is made of pressed wood materials. We are going have to reinforce the bottom of the drawer somehow in order for it to be truly useful. All in all, its a wonderful addition to our nursery! It's sturdy (except the drawer), easy to assemble, the color is rich and looks great with our neutral "jungle" nursery theme!
We love the oak wood coloring and the crib was easy enough to assemble. The nail filler is pretty noticable on the crib. It doesn't completly match the storkcraft beatrice combo unit we purchased like we had hoped, but for the price we are happy.
My husband and I were very excited to pick up our crib. We brought it home and immediatley started to try and put it together. For the price it seems cheap and the mattress base was cracked in half. Now we have to wait 6 weeks for a new one to arrive. The locking system was also broken for the front of the crib so I have to wait 6 weeks also for that to come. Hopefully these will be the only problems and I will learn to love it.
