I OWN 4 OF THE CAMERAS, AND THEY ARE GREAT, AT FIRST I COULDN'T SEE WELL ON THE CAMERAS IN TOTAL DARKNESS, THEN I READ THE LITTLE PAPER THAT COMES WITH IT, AND IT STATED IF YOU CAN'T SEE WELL IN THE DARK ON THE CAMERA, CHANGE THE CONTRAST ON YOUR TV, WHEN I DID THAT I CAN SEE EVERY LITTLE THING IN TOTAL DARKNESS. GREAT ITEM, HAVE ONE MORE TO ORDER, AND I WILL BE TOTALLY COVERED. ALSO GREAT PRICE.
This is an excellent camera for the price. Very good picture quality and easy to install.
This is a very handy device for monotoring locations that you wish to keep an eye on. It has night vision and sound which are both handy. It is easy to use and install and only requires a vcr to record and view through your tv. To simply view only just plug into your audio/video inputs on your tv. If you have a tuner card in your computer with program you can also record and view on your computer. The purchase of an additional audio cord is necessary to go from a composite audio jack to a mono audio jack for the computer application but this can be found at specialized electronics stores. Purchasing a audio/video selector box will allow changing between cameras if you have more than one although this would be a manual selection and not automatic. Walmart could possibly add a automatic selector which could make this camera even more useful by automatically selecting cameras and durations of view. Overall I found this camera very helpful. By the way I own 2 cameras purchasing the latter one just recently through site to store which is very useful.
We have had our camera a short time and have enjoyed having the extra security. It was easy in install and use. It has great audio and video quality. The price was outstanding.
Have used camera for about two weeks. No problems so far. Camera is not bad for the money. Picture is somewhat grainy but what do you expect for 50 bucks. Night visson good at 20 feet which I beleive is the max distance it is designed for. Installation is easy- just plug it in. Hardest part of install is running cable and mounting. If you have any mechanical aptitude you can easily do it. If you want a inexpensive camera this is a good deal.
Good item but a modificaton was made to improve the receivers antenna. My home is an two story and the receiver in my basement along with other communications equipement. Slight radio frequency disturbance. Possiblly: broadband BPL signal leaking as stated by FCC report. Bad electrical power lines bleeding. Also have tried the ferrite beeds or core. And failed to help deviate the RFD problem (s). With an all band 144.00 mhz to 2.00 GHZ (12 inches). Receive and transmitt antenna seems to help. Audio has improved. Did do some reseach through out my home and had not found the problem.
Good product, especially for $50. Very good daytime picture, nightview without significant auxillary lighting is almost nill. Field of view is barely 45 degrees. This is probably my single biggest disappointment with this camera. But again, for $50 what do you expect. Will probably purchase a couple more, even with all the drawbacks, simply because of the price and now that I know about the narrow field of view I can plan placement better.
I purchased this product based on the reviews I read. It was a nice camera for the price. The day vision is great, but at night it's terrible. I adjusted the brightness and contrast on the TV and still had the same results. I returned the product. If they correct this problem, I would purchase another one in the future.
This camera is extremely easy to hook up and it works very well doing the day, but at night it doesn't show much of anything. SLIM TO NONE NIGHT VISION.
Looks nice, can be mounted up-side-down. This one doesn't work in daylight. Goes into overload at sunrise till sunset. Does work at night. Mic has to be turned off if there is ANY breeze. This one is going back, maybe the replacement will work. And find a cover for the mic.
