I got these for my son who has a hard to fit head and we have a hard time finding comfortable to wear headphones. These are now the only headphones that he uses and he loves them. The docking station and wireless feature just make it that much easier for him. He has them connected to his computer. His only issue was that he would prefer them in red or yellow.
I love these! I am an online ESL teacher. These headphones work great for online teaching. They are very comfortable. I tried another brand-name wireless BlueTooth headphone but they were not sufficient in volume. So far these work well. They are compatible with PC and Mac computers. While the Astro A50 headphones are made for the PS4, there is a switch that allows them to connect to a PC. Because they are made with gaming in mind the sound is superior. A drawback is that they are not Bluetooth- I want to connect them to everything! My phone, my TV. They are just so comfy. Secondly, while the charging base is super sleek, it is not compatible with any of my phone wall chargers. It can only be charged by connecting to the PC or the PS4. My son loves them. He has a PS5. "So sorry junior these are for mom!" Once again- these headphones are for Macs, PCs, laptops, or the PS4. They boost superior "movie theater" surround sound and are extremely comfortable. I can walk around my house and not lose my wireless connection. I very much like them.
Easy to use. Easy to set up. The ear cushions are very comfortable so you shouldn't have a problem wearing these for an extended period of time. It's nice it does have the option of using other cushions though in case these don't work well for some. The sound is crisp and clear. Great for gaming and other uses with a computer as well. Would highly recommend.
I recently received the ASTRO Gaming A50 Wireless + Base Station for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 & PC - Black/Silver and these babies are awesome! Great sound quality with loads of extras. These headphones are easy to adjust to your liking. They last a long time and charge fairly fast! This set works with the PS5, PS4 and computers! These are also equipped with Dobly sound technology, just a push of a button (switch) gives you the ultimate sound!
Before I didn't want to spend money on headphone because I really wasn't into headphones but after getting this ones I regret spending my money on the other one this are the only headphone that should be on the market for the price it's really good the sound is amazing and just charge it once you get it and you should be cover for 8hours or so I don't play like before but this can also be used with phone for music
ASTRO Gaming A50 Wireless + Base Station is excellent. I use it for my PlayStation 4 and my gaming computer. I love the sound quality and they are noise canceling. I can also hear myself in the headphones without the echo. Heavy duty and made sturdy but they are not heavy on your head. Bendy and not easy to break. Charging station is heavy fudge and easy to use. Hooks right to the PlayStation and game computer easy and quick. Comfortable fit and soft ear pads that are magnetic so easy to pop off to clean! The mouth piece can go up and down for easy storage or when you just don't want to speak into it. Bendable mouth piece is added bonus so when you take them off it doesn't just snap. Volume button right on the headphones so it's easy to turn up and down. Push button side to turn the game and voice on. Adjustable head piece that slides and does not click but holds in place. Head piece also has a pad for the top of your head. These are the best head phones I have used. Defiantly able to wear hours upon hours of time. My son loves them and I am not afraid of him breaking them as they are made very reliable. Defiantly recommend to gamers. My son also wears them just to watch YouTube on the PlayStation. Great product!!
The A50 base station with wireless headphones are a great addition to my PS4/PS5 and will also work with my PC! I was really impressed with the sound quality and how comfortable the ear muffs fit! They work really good with the exception of my PC (sound isn't as loud as PS4/PS5) The base staion is nice and you just lay the headphones on the charging staion but make sure the contacts line up, sometimes it is difficult to do! I have not had some problems with mine that others have had, but there is a download to clarify the problem! I have used them as well as my grand children and we have had no problems with them after the initial setup, and placing them on the base to properly charge! The set will mute when the mic is lifted and that is a nice function! They are a bit pricey but a good buy for the money!
Do you want to feel like you're at the movie theater when you're sitting on your own couch in your living room? Then these are the headphones for you! They're very comfortable in your ears and the microphone works great. The charging base is pretty cool, it's magnetic so the headphones stick right in place. The only con of these headphones is that everybody around you can hear everything that you're listening to, even when they're not at full volume.
For PC setup, download and start up the software first then Plug the base station into a USB-2 port then let the device update the firmware. You may try a USB 3 port but I had no luck with that, in fact, I was never able to get it working at all on a USB-3 port. The headset has a power switch which MUST be turned off in order to accept a charge but turning off the power does not disconnect the device. In order to disconnect the device from the PC you must unplug it from the usb port and then of course it will not charge. A disable switch, to totally disable the headset while still allowing it to charge would be a huge improvement. For my use, a home PC for multiple uses, I found it to be more trouble than it's worth due to having to constantly change sound devices to suit my need at any given moment. You can set default devices in advanced settings in Windows but I found that to be hit or miss often automatically reverting back afterward. That said, the headset does have decent sound which is easily adjustable with well placed buttons on the headset and additionally through the software including customization with a 5 band equalizer. I really loved the built-in mic, chat & game audio mixer and the ability to balance the game:voice volume. The headset is very comfortable but also a bit heavy which could be a problem for remaining in place during some VR game play. Bottom line, There is a lot I liked but I really wanted to love this headset and I dont, at least not for use on a multi-use PC. Again, a disable switch would make a big difference on this. Would I recommend it ? Maybe, but only if you plan to use it on a dedicated use PC or a PS/4 etc.. Weigh your options carefully, especially at this price point...
My first thought was cheap. Felt and looked cheap. The fabric on ear muffs is soft but hot. My ears were sweating. Instructions are unclear and I had a hard time getting them to sync to my ps4. Packaging is a bit over the top. Box in a box in a box. The box is nice but overkill. Could be much smaller. Seems more money was put into packaging design than head phones. Sound is okay but I couldn't get my microphone to work. I could hear them but they couldn't hear me. Not real impressed with this set.
