This is a good, sturdy little piece of equipment. It is used at a boat refit company, and mixing paint is an everyday occurrence. When compared to other shakers that are extremely expensive, this unit has definitely paid for itself more than once.
As far as shakers go this is near the top. Setup couldn't be easier and its incredibly simple to use.
I mixed my thinner and paint in the pail with no mess and very good consistency It helped make short work of my project by allowing me to mix large batches. Unit is reasonably quiet. Definitely fix it to a stationary table or bench. I clamped mine to a steel welding table and it walked the table.
I bought this Astro Shaker over a year ago and found it to be a real workhorse. I mounted it to my workbench and have used it for primarily automotive paints, but have also used it for latex house paint as well. The rubber coated clamps hold paint cans very secure. Before I purchased, I compared this shaker to a cheaper model being sold online and am very happy I paid the extra cost for an obviously better product.
I wore my welcome out at the local paint store. this works wonderful, noisy but wonderful
We use this tool daily and has been a valuable asset to our business. We would recommend this to anyone that has a small to medium size paint booth.
