This is one of the best monitors I have every had. This is the first Asus monitor I have bought and I will never go back. The monitor I was using before was an acre predator but this is way better 10 out of 10.
Everything Asus !!! as long as Asus continues to produce quality products I remain a loyal customer. As an IT professional I never hesitate in promoting Asus as my number one choice. Fifteen years and counting.
incredible how little ghosting we can see. No need to overclock, at 240 it feels really good. I feel like the jump from 120 to 240 is actually really noticeable, but the low input lag makes it one of the best gaming monitors there is. PROS: EVERYTHING CONS: sometimes gets locked into 144hz when falling into sleep mode, and doesnt revert to 244 until I power off and on the monitor... Also the sort of "joystick" used to control the settings menu feels like it's not gonna last. I have another similar screen and it's all loose so I'm scared this one will do the same.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] REALLY GREAT AS A PRIMARY OR SECONDARY MONITOR, EVEN BETTER WHEN YOU HAVE ONE AS BOTH PRIMARY AND SECONDARY. WORTH IT!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] its good but i wish it had reflex and the ability for a user to update the firmware themselves built in
The screen is pretty good and was a great introduction to 1080p. i have had it about a year almost now and i am very much enjoying it.
It's a good app. It didn't work for me, but it was a personal problem.
I am completing this review expecting to receive a 90-day warranty extension from ASUS. I replaced an aging 27 Inch IMac with a Mac Mini and bought the VG289Q Display. It is a great display. But the speakers are weak. I bought a set of desktop speakers for better sound, and so that I can control the sound through the Mac keyboard. I find the adjustment process somewhat confusing, but I finally figured it out by poking around. The indicator light is on the lower right hand corner, facing DOWN (?). You cannot see whether it is on/off/standvy without bending over. So I glued a small clear plastic cap (about ⅛" thick) over the light so I could see the status without craning my neck. Now I'm happy!
Monitor developed dead and stuck pixels after a couple weeks of use and the RMA process was more of a hassle than it was worth.
Im not sure what it was but this monitor looked horrible! Im using a GTX 1650 Super so its not a high end GPU, but wow did this monitor look sub 1080p. I have a two monitor acer nitro xf243y setup and those look way better than this one. Even worse on the PS5, I played Ghost of Tsushima for a couple mins and the scenery looked jagged and not very pleasing to the eye. I returned it after a day and yes i did play with the settings. Oh and it still had a DVI port, that's an old.
