I bought it a month ago and since I have it I have given up very well without any problem soo good laptop .
The Scar II is the second gaming laptop I've owned, so far I'm loving it. Great graphics performance on a beautiful 144hz screen. Keyboard is wonderful and I really enjoy the lighting features.
I bought this product a few weeks ago, and I must say I'm impressed. Though there have been many, many updates, its ability to multitask is superb. I can practically play a game and watch a movie at the same time without having to worry about lag or crashing. It runs quietly as well, which is a nice addition. It hasn't overheated once, and the graphics are truly fantastic. I'm impressed.
I bought this laptop a few days ago and it's better than any other laptop I've owned in the past. The backlit keyboard is great and I do enjoy the fact that the Asus logo on the lid lights up.
It was the best laptop I ever used. The gaming performance is good and the design is good. I especially think the shape of "ROG" is perfect.
I still can't get over the refresh rate on the screen I love it. Super fast and gets impressive frames. Aura sync never fails to look cool either. It does get rather hot and blow loudly however.
I purchased this laptop about a year ago and it has been on the best purchases I have made. Overall the laptop is perfect for gaming, I can play DOTA 2 on it with no issues and the screen is sooo clean. It does get a bit loud when the fans kick in to keep it cool, but it does the job and rarely throttles me because of thermal issues. When the laptop is plugged in there is a bit of a whine, but I can't figure out where it is coming from, however I have headphones on so it is never really that bad.
When I first got this laptop I did like the build quality of the chassis. It was fairly rigid and compact. However i would have liked to have a metal chassis. The performance was ok but not really something to brag about. The cooling sometimes gets loud if under stress. I also would have wish to have dual channel ram from the start as well as a hard drive to store all the games.
This is a good gaming laptop, with great performance for what it is, and only a few small problems. The display is sharp and bright and the high refresh rate is very nice for gaming. The GPU is pretty outdated by now, but it still plays almost all the games I have really well. The lighting effects are pretty nice too. Problems: Initially there was some weirdness with the audio over HDMI, which made it unusable when hooked up to my entertainment center and TV. This must have been a driver issue though because after about 6 months the problem went away. After about a year the fans started having a problem where they'd run very loud completely randomly, whether I was gaming or just sitting idle. I had to send it in for warranty service, but it came back fixed and has been fine since.
Bad battery life and cooler fans didn't take long (5/6 months) to start making a stress noise to it so when it's in silence mode it still makes a loud noise. this exact same problema happened on my previous asus laptop as well and thought it was a one-off but I can see it's a trend in the company so this will be my last asus laptop
