[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this as a video and photo workstation for windows, and it has not disappointed me. Probably the only weakness is the camera inconsistencycy of the image displayed. The computer runs obs for live streams flawlessly.
Great for multi tasking. I'm a student and this laptop has been so helpful specially during finals when it's the most intense time of the year
I had to buy a new laptop after my old one (another brand) died a horrific death. I had high standards, but a limited budget, and after seeing this "live" in a store, I bought this one. So glad I did! It has worked flawlessly since I got it. The ASUS software that comes with it is better and more user friendly that competitor maintenance software, and it's just worked like a dream. Really happy with my purchase.
Love the size, responsiveness, screen resolution, and screenpad
I bought this for college. It's very thin and light and fits in any bag, which is a nice upgrade from the brick of a laptop I used to have. Sometimes the fan runs really aggressively, but otherwise it runs all the games and programs I need without issue.
Awesome laptop in terms of everything! However, Linux users be aware that due to a firmware bug, you are gonna get like 50% CPU performance, the bug might be fixed later but I really doubt it
The laptop overall if fantastic, but unfortunately it has had some issues with the USB slot and already does not work properly in connecting devices outside of the USB C slots. Also, it updated the laptop firmware which somehow broke the touch screen, but I was able to downgrade and avoid it happening again. The positives, very powerful streaming machine, with smooth application use and transitions. I use it for work and have no issues in completing video and audio tasks without an lag. I have not contacted support about the USB slot, hard to find time to send it back when you are using it regularly.
Came with the laptop not registering the screenxpert as a touchscreen making it unuseable as a track pad instead I can only use it as a second screen. Other than that it is great.
I've owned this laptop for over a month now and regret the purchase entirely. The only thing keeping me from a 1-star review is that the product does work--as a base laptop it is fine--but I beg beg beg you, if you're reading this and considering, DO NOT buy a laptop with the screenpad feature. First, it is too small for any genuine use. I supposed they thought because the main screen is touch-enabled that users could use that when their touchpad is occupied, but in reality it is a massive hassle at all times. Many times because of the pads jumping back and forth between display screen and mouse pad, it often gets stuck in the one feature you don't want. Months ago, sick of it's finickiness, I disabled the touchpad hoping to live with a simple mousepad. But no. The software is insistent it acts as a screen and often I will turn on my laptop with my main display disabled suddenly, leading to immense frustration as I struggle to adjust using the tiny display. This portion of the product DOES NOT work smoothly nor as intended and to make matters worse, the software designed to interact with it is straight bad. To conclude, I have nothing against ASUS laptops, but ASUS' touchpad feature is absolute garbage and will only lead you to hours of never ending frustration.
I bought this laptop for my wife last May 2021. Now, the battery is dead. I have to keep the laptop plugged in to use it. The laptop is just barely out of the yearly warranty window. We spent a lot money on this but now we regret it.
