I purchased this Nitendo DS game for my granddaughter, Maddy, who is now seven years old. She loves this game! It is very easy for her to understand and play. I would recommend this game to any child from age 6 up.
This game was purchased for my 9 year old daughter for Christmas. It was her #1 choice for her first DS game. She plays this game daily. She thinks it rocks! I like the innocence of the game. She has fun with Hello Kitty. She is having fun without a violent or overly-matured view of the world. Its just plain kid fun without any worldly pressures!
The graphics were wonderful. Bright colors and somewhat fun. I am however in my early twenties. Generally every product that I buy with Hello Kitty I adore. I even have a Hello Kitty purse, pencils, sharpener, toaster, water dispenser, a pancake and waffle maker, a "Build A Bear- Hello Kitty", ect. ect. ect. However, this game is too draggy and tends to be a bit over rated. For a younger girl this game would be rated five stars but for us adults who are big fans of Hello Kitty, this was a large disappointment. There are too few games to play with Hello Kitty and there are hardly any places to visit. I still play it but I might go to a game store to trade it in soon. I guess I am used to "Mario" games with all the different variations, worlds, prizes, costume changes, ect. this game seemed really dull. I should also mention that I am not a constant gamer. I mostly have games that are either club games like darts, checkers ect. and games like "MarioKart" and "SuperMarioBros." Games that can be fun to play a lot with others AND can also be set aside for a few months without any disturbance to my saved data. But being a HK fan I have to admit it was nice to try it. If you are a HK fan like myself, try renting it first. The game is basically to collect 'friendship' points but there are too few friends (different games with each friend) and the only reward for earning the points is to get a new room at a hotel. Seeming how many points are needed to get a new hotel room combined with a shortage of friends and games it gets boring fast. Also too there is a HK store where you can purchase dresses and other items for HK BUT once you purchase all of the items there is nothing new in the store...as if real stores are completely sold out of every single item! Walmart is never bare! HK stores should not be either! But this of course is not Walmarts issue this is the game developer's issue. As for shipping. I paid for the 7-10 day shipping and I got it in 3 days. I believe that 1-2 days were used just for packaging and the readiness of shipping via computer. I will buy other games from Walmart because of how fast and how safe the shipping was.
