i work a farm so i get these socks dirtier and sweatier than most people. stains from dirt, clay and grass are a fact of life. my experience has been that even with heavy and consistent washing these socks will last acouple of years before fraying. other brands dont seem to do as well. i have NEVER experienced the "string" issue as indicated in the other post.
I bought these socks for my husband because they were a good deal. They fall apart in the washing machine. Strings everywhere. They get tangled with everything else in the wash. Will not buy again.
