Good phone from a recognized brand. Great value. Good features, especially the speaker phone. Also the speed dialing feature works really well and was easy to program. I have had other phones where speed dialing setup was so intricate I never used it. Good tone. Pleasant ring tone. All in all a good phone and great value.
I wanted a phone that did not need to be plugged in. We often get power outages and then the phone is useless. This one does require 4 AA batteries and my old one which was very similar didn't need batteries. Hopefully I won't have to reprogram it every time I change the batteries.
All I was looking for was a corded phone that was inexpensive, in case my electricity went out, because cordless phones would not be active, then. I read the reviews for this phone, ordered it, and did a Site to Store pickup. The fact that it has caller id, call waiting, and a speakerphone is an added bonus, although in order for these to work, batteries are needed. Also, the batteries seem to wear out quickly, and when they do, the phone doesn't look like it's on, because the screen is blank. There is no light on the screen, either. No matter, it is a good little phone with a fairly clear sound, large numbers, and is exactly what I needed. I keep it plugged in, along with my regular cordless phones, so it is always ready to use, in case the electric goes out.
This seems to be a good quality phone for the price. The only issue I have with the phone is when I use the speakerphone. If the volume is set too high, the audio is somewhat distorted. I think maybe this is due to the quality of the speaker, it probably is not large enough to handle the volume properly. Other than this, there are other great features, which in my opinion supersede the issue with the speaker, (I merely lower the volume to a more comfortable level). The price was only $20.00, and I wanted a landline phone that had the keypad on the phone itself, and not on the handset. (I wanted to record the voices of our little grandchildren off of voice messaging from the phone company to my digital recorder), hence the desire for a speakerphone. The telephone required 4 AA batteries, in order to allow for the memory related features to work, and the batteries are not included, (not a deal breaker in my opinion).
Purchased this for the bedroom and I like the SPEAKERPHONE feature as it leaves your hands free while talking to friends. The quality is good and the price is satisfactory. I stored my frequently called numbers in the phone and it is very convenient.
This phone has most of the latest features available on the latest high priced phones for a very attractive price. It is replacing another corded phone (necessary for when the power goes out). Installation was a snap and the sound quality is excellent. The only nit to pick with this unit is that the required batteries are not included.
I ordered three phones. The user's guide book is poorly done. If you try to follow the minimal programming instructions, you'd better be stone sober. It's a bear. I would urge purchasers to download the 49-page manual from the AT&T website for more clearly written instructions. I now have the three phones installed and all seems to be OK. Give me a month or two; let's see if they perform well. The only reason I purchased the AT&T phones is that I could not find any other phone manufacturer who made a white corded phone with speed dial capabilities and features like Hold and Redial, and without a built-in answering machine.
Phone is acceptable but hard to change time. Screen is low in contrast (even after setting at highest setting) so hard to read in normal light room. Speaker OK; enough favorite numbers; wish it was a little narrower (too wide for location on wall).
if you have plenty of direct light --it works great for the money if you hang it on the wall with no direct lighting,-- buy something else if you have a problem with seeing --buy something else some people will like this product, but I did not don't complain to me about this review--you asked me--remember?
Thought I was buying a brand new telephone but has “Refurbished” on the box and “Contents are refurbished and not covered by manufacturers warranty.” Wish the seller would have stated that the phone was a refurbished one. Not sure if going to send back to Walmart. Don't buy products that were once defectived.
