This is a great deal on an android. all the Google apps are free on android and the market is well established. I bought the 25$ fill up and signed up to the .10/minute .20/text plan (NOT the monthly plan) without data package. you can still use WiFi for data, data package is NOT required. the $25 fill up is good for 3 months or until you use it up. get Google voice and the GrooveIP app to make free calls on WiFi. essentially you can have an android phone and pay $8.33/month and have unlimited calls and data on WiFi. get the autoAP app too, it helps.
No complaints other than a rather short battery life. But if you make sure to turn off things like wi-fi, gps and the data switch when not needed, it really works quite well. Make sure to take advantage of google voice services and gmail. I also upgraded to an 8gb SD card, which provides lot's of storage for music, files and apps. I suggest a 16gb card for those who want to try numerous large apps.
BEST and cheapest way to get Android phone and service!! This phone is fast and amazing!! I will be purchasing another one soon! Best of all...you only need a $50 per month plan for unlimited text and talk plus you can use ur WIFI for all apps and internet!! Couldn't have asked for a better deal or value.
This was my first attempt at going from a regular, keyboard type style cell phone (LG Saber) to a Smartphone. I purchased this AT&T Fusion based on other reviews and the price. I also purchased the Straight Talk Sim Card Activation Kit (to convert it from an AT&T phone to a Straght Talk phone) along with the $45.00 unlimited talk, text & web. This phone is so simple, yet amazing with all the features and Apps it has. It didn't take long at all to figure it all out without the "dummy manual".... Im a hands on learner not a reading learner! Anyway, Fed Ex delivered within 4 days of ordering...I immediately opened the box, inserted the SIM card and called Straight Talk customer service to have it activated. Walmart had already emailed the PIN number for my 30 days of unlimited talk, text and web so I had it ready to give customer service and BOOM....I was activated!!! I'm extremely happy with this phone and my service. I'm a 40 year old mom of 4 and grandma of 3 and if I can use and understand this phone ANYONE can.
Truthfully, I got this phone to get me through until I could save enough for the Samsung Galaxy. I am pleased to find that this phone has everything I need in a more user friendly size. I stick my phone in my back pocket a lot, the Samsung would be too big for that. Apps are easy to use and the phone doesn't hang up if you accidentally touch the screen with your face during the call (an experience I have had with the Galaxy). Anyway, lots of bang for your buck and no need to spend more. I do find that I have to charge it every 24-36 hours, but it's a small price to pay for the upgrade to Smart Phone.
This is the first smartphone I've had, and I'm enjoying using it. I took it to an ATT store to have it set up and to transfer my contacts from my old phone. To save on 3G data usage and battery, I turned off some of the apps, like the GPS and Bluetooth, and some of the ATT apps. They can easily be turned back on when needed. I also connected the phone to our home wi-fi and will use wi-fi whenever possible. Because it doesn't have a lot of memory, it can be a little sluggish when starting up. For phone calls, the reception has been good, so far. Texting works well. The camera takes photos and videos, but it doesn't have a flash and is low-end resolution. Battery life seems good, and it recharges fairly quickly. Overall, this is a great "starter" smartphone for under $100.
Pros: No Contract Required, You can also put your Regular AT&T Sim Card in this phone if you want a Smartphone without a Contract, You can Also use your Current Go Phone Sim Card with this phone Android 2.3.4 (Gingerbread) Works with GPRS/EDGE/3G Network Android Market, Amazon App Store, GetJar are all supported (You can Select Install From Unknown Sources, something you can't do on MANY AT&T Android Phones!) 2GB MicroSD Card Included, Supports up to 32GB Great Screen Good Battery Life Cons: Wish it had more internal memory, but for a phone in this price range I can't complain too much a Airtime Credit with it would of been nice since the cheaper Go Phones sometimes include $10-$50 in Airtime Included with the Phone Other Thoughts: Not much info around the Internet on this phone, It's made by Haiwei and is known as the Haiwei Sonic elsewhere. If your looking for a Android Phone on the Cheap then this is the best deal your gonna find without signing a Contract!
This was a replacement for a stolen 4G phone. Definitely slower, but voice quality good. Does everything 4G could, but slower. Does not play video well. Google music sounds better here though and calendar updates are easily done on pc with desktop computer and sync online without being directly connected.
I like this phone except for the speaker. When you place the phone on speaker it is lower than not having it on speaker. I am gonna purchase another phone to see if maybe it's a defect in this one. Other than that I like all other aspect of the phone.
Terrible phone. Can not get over 2 bars of reception. Microphone is pointed away from your mouth so your caller can't hear you. On speaker you can't hear the caller cause the speaker is not loud enough. All in all I would not recommend this phone for people that talk on their phone. Text appears to work. If I could I would return this phone right now. Don't waste your money.
