Well made !! Also bonus box was made in USA! Can't wait for bats to move in box!!
IF YOU WANT A BAT HOUSE THIS IS THE ONE. IT'S ALREADY THOUGHT OF EVERYTHIING FOR YOU. BUT, THE SCREWS GIVEN DO NOT BITE INTO A STAND (TREE) WELL ENOUGH. i USED 2 SCREWS FROM MY LOOSE SCREW JAR TO GET A MORE SECURE BITE. ENJOY. BATS ARE CLEAN, WELL BEHAVED AND KEEP YOUR AREA DOWN ON PESTS.
I like that 2 screws are included and that the two holes are easy to access for mounting the bat house.
My mother was very happy when she received the bat box.
Came fast... seems to be nice quality... now needs residents.
got this as a gift for a friend who had a bat problem in her attic. after the extermination this was a good fit to keep the bats out of her house since they aren't leaving the neighborhood due to the swamp near buy. This was well made and very nice on the eye. Would recommend to others.
The entrance slot is ~2" . I think Little Brown Bats like a 1" slot. I'll check it next spring but I think they won't occupy it. A modification may be in the works.
This bat shelter was bought as a Christmas gift for my mother-in-law who requested one. I don't know anything about them, but was surprised when the bat shelter came in the mail, it's simply a box; hollow inside with an open bottom. There is nothing to it. While this may be what bat shelters consist of, I don't think it's worth the $25 plus tax my husband and I spent. My husband could have easily built this structure in no time for $5 or less. I do like that the wood seems sturdy and can be painted if someone wanted to make it truly unique. Overall, I'd expect more for the price, but hopefully it serves its purpose.
NOT made of cedar, it's made from soft pine which will wear out from the weather faster. Seems fairly well built and tag says it's made in Ohio, USA. Includes two screws for mounting.
This is not something you would put outside! It's more a child's craft product.
