This lock is super easy to install, it looks sleek and customer service is speedy to respond. I have not had any issues from installation on and I am a novice at such honey-do type endeavors. I loved the lock so much, I got the doorbell and the keypad too. The doorbell is a must if you don't have the connect as it enables you to lock and unlock the door via wifi from anywhere. I'm honestly dumbfounded to see so many negative reviews. If you look at every other site, this very lock is highly rated by customers. If you keep Bluetooth on, then the door will unlock automatically once your phone is in range. If you do not generally keep the Bluetooth engaged on your phone, it can be cumbersome to turn it on every time you want to go in your door. The remedy is to either keep your Bluetooth on or to get the connect or the video doorbell which link the lock to wifi.
easy to install (attaches to your existing lock). setup was simple and i issued electronic keys to my wife (iphone) and housekeeper (android phone). we no longer carry our house keys.
Loading the software to the phone was a little buggy, but got it loaded within 10 minutes. After loading, the lock is working great. It was very easy to install. Would recommend.
The cheese was the best ever, but didn't care for the topping. May try again...
This listing is for the ASL-01 as of Dec 2016. The most recent version is ASL-02 on the August website. -02 is a better product for the same price.

I was extremely excited to install this on my condo door. I am often overloaded with packages coming in the door and thought maybe the auto unlock would be the answer. Unfortunately, I was never able to try it out. My door has raised mouldings near the lock and the poor way of attaching the lock with the "wings" on the sides instead of screws or interior attachments meant that it was too close from the lock to the moulding to open and close the wing. See the attached photo of the damaged door. I am unable to recommend this product until they deal with the design and structural issues.
The listing is misleading. It's the first generation lock. Was used prior to me getting it. Returned it.
This thing absolutely sucks. It never works. The Bluetooth takes over 20 seconds to connect. The app crashes constantly. If you get the connect with it, plan on that never working as well. This is by far my biggest regret of a purchase in the past couple of years. When you call their customer service, they are nothing but rude. Their only offer of service is to replace it. Well when you replace it so many times and it still sucks, what do you do then? Do yourself a favor and just avoid it. I would rather just get a keypad style lock instead. I don't even use this anymore.
INSTALLATION WAS EASY BUT PROGRAMMING WAS DIFFICULT, IT KEPT TELLING ME THAT NO LOCK WAS DETECTED. I MUST HAVE REPEATED THE STEPS ABOUT 20 TIMES AND FINALLY GAVE UP AND WILL BE RETURNING IT FOR A REFUND. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.
