Well packed and easy setup and yes got it earlier than originally schead. So far so good its only been 2 weeks since I started to use it but its great and serves as a prep in case of a storm outage or other situation.
I like that the bottle is bottom load. I am using 4 gal bottles and was originally concerned that the water tube was too long but I haven't had any issues with water leaking. I am excited that it has an auto-clean feature which my last machine didn't have.
It's great! Find it to be pretty quiet and nicely compliments the kitchen. Easy access to hot or cold water all day long. Kids love it, husband loves it and so do I! Definitely a smart buy

I am so impressed with this cooler! I researched water coolers units for three days before I decided on this one, yes I'm a bit obsessive about getting just the right features but also getting a product that has good reviews so research takes me a while. Of course I was still apprehensive because of the negative reviews that stated the buttons being hard to push or the cooler being noisy, or that there was a plastic taste. Let me tell you that every single cooler that I researched had these same comments but this one had so may positives as well as reviews stating the wonderful customer service that I decided to go with it. I have been using it for almost a week now, and I have about two inches of water left in my first bottle, I absolutely love it. Unboxing and setup was super easy. At first I was disappointed that I had tiny scratches on the stainless door until I realized that it had a film that you have to peel off after set up. I installed the water bottle turned it on and let it do its thing for an hour then came back to super cold and super hot water. My thermometer read 40 degrees on the cold and 190 on the hot which is colder than stated, my fridge water is 60 degrees so the temperatures make me very happy. My buttons are easy to push and even though the water doesn't dispense as fast as my fridge it's not bad. My main concern when purchasing beside the longevity which only time will tell was how noisy this unit would be, well it was not what I expected at all, this thing is quiet! My tiny wine fridge makes way more compressor noise than this cooler. I also read complaints about the noise the pump makes pulling the water up, well that is no big deal either, I think that people who experience that issue are not seating the bottle properly and letting the lines lie against the side of the bottle. I also read in negatives "the cold isn't cold or the hot doesn't work" if you read the instructions and do the set up step by step there shouldn't be an issue. One of the last processes in set up is to turn on the buttons for hot and cold on the back of the machine. I'm only speculating that people do not turn those on then feel the features don't work. Lastly I only have one complaint, I wish the unit was taller. I see that I can purchase a 10 inch base to raise the height which 10 inches would be perfect but they are asking almost $70 for it. This riser is black plastic and although a great idea, I feel like that is some serious price gouging. I am restating that I have only had this a week but all in all I couldn't be more pleased.
Since we live on a well system in New Mexico, we needed a water dispenser that could dispense hot, cold and room temp. And because our house in a soft contemporary (see pics), we needed a dispenser that was modern. Avalon's A3 was perfect. It's stainless steel look along with its clean lines and contemporary style fit perfectly in our stainless steel kitchen. Its functionality, so far (had it a week), works as described at this website...the hot water is 180 degrees (we tested it, just for fun), the cold water is cold (not ice cold) and the room temp water is, well, room temp. 5 gallon jugs fit easily and the set up is also easy. Now the most important part...is it quiet? ... Yes! Ours doesn't run that much (to heat and chill the water), but when it does it pretty darn quiet...about as loud as small dorm room mini-fridge...maybe quieter. So, big thumbs up for the A3. Excellent product, easy-to-read set up instructions and great product design.

So far so good with the setup. It is a beautiful unit the black and chrome looks beautiful next to our black and chrome mini fridge and our den. So far I'm just trying to see how I was going to work for us but I've been trying to make this purchase for years and the reviews help me. I like that is nice and quiet is not loud and the setup was absolutely easy it comes really all set up.
The initial startup was frustrating. Hooked up the unit properly but everything had to be perfectly connected. The cap had to be securely placed on the bottled water container, tube fully inserted to bottom, and the door fully snapped shut. The compressor started working and the indicator lights would go on then off and the red empty bottle indicator light started to flicker...why I don't know?? Had to open and close the door a few times to hear the compressor working and make sure the cap on the water bottle was fully secured. I suspect the unit was attempting to siphon water into the reservoir and needed time but instructions were not all that great about the initial startup. After giving the unit time to fill the reservoir, lights worked as indicated and water began to dispense only after the compressor went through its startup procedure. Other than that, the all-black unit looks very attractive in kitchen Cold water is cold but not icy-cold, since this is not a refrigerator and nor is the hot water very hot. Love the bottom water dispenser design vs the more traditional top-mounted design that can be difficult for older folks, especially attempting to lift and invert a 5-gallon water container.
I received my cooler with a big dent in the bottom door panel.
