Ok so I am writing this review on the Avalon self cleaning bottleless water cooler dispenser. First I would like to mention, you have to hook up a permanent water line to this unit. I had to pay a plumber to come and install this in my home, as I did not have a water line hook up anywhere in my house for a unit like this. Once it was installed we have found that we like it very much. We are a family of five and use this a lot. It did leak at first from one of the fittings inside. But I was able to tighten it and get it to stop leaking. I also found the drip tray to be difficult to remove. It took using something to pry it and get it started. And I do wish the water was a little colder. I love that it has the three temperature options. And the unit is very quiet. I also like the night light feature. I get up and get water a few times a night. So it's nice to not have to turn a light on. I also like that you have separate switches for control of the night light and the hot and cold options. They are located on the back top corner. I included a picture. I love the stainless steel design. It is very nice looking. And the hot water has a safety feature for children. It has a knob in the center of the hot button that you have to push down and slide sideways before it will let the main button be depressed. The replaceable filters is nice, but the filters are a little expensive. Hoping they last awhile between changes. All in all I would recommend this to anyone looking to replace a bottle cooler system.
Prior to receiving and installing this water dispenser, we were a bottled water buying family. Now that we have this, we use refillable BPA free bottles and it's perfect. I love that it has three water temperature options (Hot, Room-Temp, and Cold). The best part about this is that the dispenser buttons are on the top, and the hot water has a safety lock feature in place to prevent busy little people (like my kids) from dispensing the water and getting burned. I use the hot water for my coffee (I use a French press) and sometimes for getting a quicker boil going for a pot of water on the stove. Cold water is my favorite option for drinking and it meets my expectations for a cool crisp drink of water. The dispenser has a self clean option as well. Setup was easy!
I think I get the wrong model
Ive bought bottles and bottles of water before. This is the best thing Ive ever purchased. Now I dont have to run to the store and refill 5-gal bottles. My whole family can enjoy unlimited amounts of cold drinking water. Out with the old, in with the new. Dont hesistate to buy this, its worth the investment.
Very nice item. Has a hot water tank, cold water tank and room temperature tank all ready for on demand. All 3 have their own separate switches to turn off and on in case a person doesn't typically use one of features too often. Self-cleaning. Comes with 2 giant filters that last quite awhile. Also has a leak detector and will shut off water supply and flash lights and make sounds to notify of a leak. Comes with all parts for easy installation including a Tee Valve to simply put directly in line with existing ice maker line or faucet supply lines. Would highly recommend. To be honest though, I only even pondered the idea of buying this when I did because a store had them on clearance for 100 bucks. Filters were half off too. Heck of a bargain. Convent for not having to wait for boiling water anymore as the hot water temp is set to 185 degrees.
The setup was easier than any appliance I own. Just connect the included tubing to your water line under sink and pop the other end of the tubing into the back of the water cooler. All parts needed are included. Besides for having constant water without needing bottles, we actually get to have hot, cold, and room temp water on demand. This machine looks amazing too. It even has a self-cleaning function that I have not seen on any other cooler of this type. This is an all around thought-out and well made machine.
I am crazy over my new Avalon Self Cleaning Bottleless Water Cooler Water Dispenser. It has 3 Temperature Settings - Hot, at 180 degrees for coffee, tea or cooking, Cold, at 47 degrees eliminates the need for ice, and room temperature. It is made with a Durable Stainless Steel Cabinet, NSF Certified Filter and is UL/Energy Star Approved. It measures 41" x 12" x 13", with 9" of space below the spouts to accommodate large cups and bottles. The tanks hold one liter of hot water and 3.6 liters of cold water. This is a bottleless cooler attached right to your water source, so the water is always there when you need it. The carbon filter will purify the water, taking out the chlorine, lead, rust and bacteria. Once a week, with just a push of a button, you can clean the unit with an injection of ozone. I LOVE this cooler. I use it every day for my coffee, cold water, and cooking. When I need to boil some water, I use the hot water tap to fill my pot. That way it saves time and energy used to bring it to a boil. I did not know what I was missing. Now, I cannot see myself without it!
Setup was very straight forward, the cooler includes the required hose and T fitting to connect it to a sink or other water source. The cooler also comes with an adapter to run a second filter (second filter not provided). Filters for this machine arent cheap and according to the instructions supposed to be replaced every 6 months or when water flow is restricted. The machine also has a self clean function which is nice, but its not automatic, you must turn it on and takes 90min to complete. Changing filters and using the self clean function shouldn't be needed as much for personal use than in a high traffic office or business. The hot water function is great for quick hot coco, tea and etc but is alittle too hot 185F. The cold water is just right and great for refilling water bottles since its cold and pre filtered. for some reason the room temperature function comes out very slow, it takes twice as long to fill up a cup than the hot and cold. The stainless finish on the cooler doesnt seem to match the rest of my stainless appliances which are more of a matte stainless finish but not a big deal. Other than the room temperature water flow being very slow i use this every day and its very handy.
The product is to my expectation..one of the item is loose and leaking upon connection. Have to look for another cold water connector
It came with the door broke is dented in the front and the side I installed it already it works fine just the delivery was not good.
