[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a first time mom and recently gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. I noticed how dry her skin was. It was especially dry on her hands and feet. When i first used Aveeno Baby Soothing Relief Lotion i noticed it worked at first but her skin was then dry again. So I continued to follow the directions and apply to her skin twice a day. After a few days i noticed the dryness had gone away. I am very pleased and glad i used this lotion. I also like that this is fragrance free, hypoallergenic, and non greasy. I will definitely be sticking with Aveeno baby products for the near future!
Aveeno Baby Soothing Relief Lotion is a great product! It has worked better than any of the other brands I have tried before, and I will definitely recommend it to friends and family members.Aveeno Soothing Baby Relief works wonderfully. It has helped my little ones skin after just a few uses. It is soft and creamy and doesn't leave her skin feel sticky or oily.
I've been using this product for over 10 yrs for my eczema. It always worked great and I recommended it to others. Since changing to the new formula, my eczema has been terrible. I've had to switch to a different brand of lotion. I'm so disappointed.
I found this lotion around 2003, and have used it everyday since! I noticed the other day when I put it on that it was incredibly different and TERRIBLE! I was shocked to see the "new formula" label. Why, why, why, why? I have no clue what to do now as I can not use the new formula for my skin. The fact that people are searching out the company site to figure out what is going on should be a sure sign that your new "formula" is GOD-AWFUL! TERRIBLE AND ATROCIOUS!
I had a bad reaction to the new formula. The complete opposite of the original. It left my skin greasy, with a filmy residue and clogged up my pores. I put the lotion on in the evening and in the morning my skin still felt gummy with residue. My hands & feet felt sweaty and a bit swollen, most likely from clogged pores. I LOVED the ORIGINAL formula moisturizing cream! It was recommended to me by my dermatologist 7 or more years ago. It was the only moisturizing cream that left my skin instantly moisturized and lasted for many hours. It was a rich thick cream that instantly soaked into my skin leaving it feeling alive, fresh and fully hydrated. I don't know what I am going to do now that it no longer exists. It was the only cream that worked for my extremely dry sensitive skin. WHY change something that worked so well?
I put this on my baby's skin because he suffers from eczema. He cried and screamed for 45 minutes and we couldn't figure out why. I took his shirt off and his stomach was red and covered in welts/blisters! I had to put him in the tub and get it all cleaned off and then apply ointment. I then gave it to my teenager who also has eczema thinking maybe it was just his sensitive skin. It burned her skin too! She came to me after putting it on a couple patches of eczema saying it was on fire. We washed it with cool water and she had welts and looked sunburned. :(
Why on earth would they change this formula after all these years? I have used this regularly for myself since my son was born 12 years ago because I have sensitive skin. It perfectly absorbed and I never had any issues. I have started to break out using this new formula. I sincerely hope they change it back!
I have been using the ORIGINAL version on my 7 year old since he was an infant. After trying many different products including your baby eczema formula I found that the Soothing Relief Moisture Cream worked phenomenally on his eczema skin. So amazingly well that I never stopped using it, hence he's 7 years old and still using the baby formula. Well now the down side....you changed the formula and my sons eczema is back and in full force. Which prior to the change his eczema had pretty much cleared up with minimal outbreaks. It is frightening how horrible his chest, back and arms look. I am completely disappointed and sadden by this change. Why change what was so perfect?
This was the only product that worked to keep my daughter's eczema under control. She had no breakouts while using this product until now. The reformulation is horrible. WHY CHANGE SOMETHING THAT WORKS? I have had no choice but to buy out all that I can find of the original formula of the Aveeno Baby Moisture Cream. I have no idea what I am going to do when I run out. Please change the formula back to the original!!!!!!!!!!!!!
