This soap bar not only moisturizes but calms and soothes skin sensitivities. The faint, barely there, delicate scent that is left behind is mesmerizing, I LOVE that smell on my babies. We are a sensitive skin family and this bar soap is a must have staple in our household. My husband and I also use this soap during the summer to keep our pores clean and unclogged. The only down side to this product is the oatmeal residue that is left behind in the tub and the price, however the soap is natural and the extra expense is very well worth it.
I love this Moisturizing Soap-Free Bar! I wear make-up (foundation, concealer, blush, eye-shadow, eye-liner, mascara & lip stick), and this product removes it all perfectly! My face/skin is clean and smooth afterwards and I have even taken a damp cotton ball to my face after using the bar to insure all the make-up is off...Success! The Perfect "Make-Up Removal," Moisturizing Soap-Free Bar! My hands become very dry in the fall/winter and I wash my hands with this bar as well before bed and then use lotion. No more dry hands! Thank you so much Aveeno!
AVEENO products are very good, especially this soap to clean the face. Este jabón es muy bueno.
I just finally finished the last of the aveeno moisturizing bars with the original formula that I had :( I've used up the majority of one with the new formula as well and it's not anywhere near as moisturizing or soothing, it doesn't lather as well, and the consistency is just overall not nearly as good as the original. From the reviews here, it seems like the new product just isn't working well for a lot of people and the original formula was holy grail status for many - including myself. Please please please consider bringing back the original formula :(
I am very disappointed in the new version of this bar. I have been using it since 1981 and the new formula is terrible. Very waxy unclean feeling after using it. Hard to remain brand loyal when aveeno is not customer loyal. Why would you change such a great and unique product? I will have to find a new product now after all these years. Very frustrating. Please consider going back to the old formula.
CHANGE IT BACK!!!! You changed this product and it now HURTS my skin. I started using this product because my skin is very sensitive and easily irritated. My doctor recommended this product many years ago and I have used it ever since. The ingredient list was short and simple and it was truly soothing. This new version CAUSES IRRITATION and pain. I am VERY DISAPPOINTED with AVEENO. I am now searching for a new soap. PLEASE,PLEASE, change it back!
The older version of this soap worked well ... this newer version is harsher and feels much more like regular soap instead of primarily oatmeal. I expect Aveeno is saving like .05 a bar or something with this newer formulation -- however I expect they are losing like half of their customers too. Idiotic decision to change what was a good product.
I have been using the product for YEARS, but after looking at the reviews, now I can tell my dermatologist it is from this bar soap! RED, SORE and THINNING skin on foot. Biposy showed nothing, dermatologist is saying it is something I have been in contact with. Told her I use the AVENO BAR SOAP, guess she has to be informed that I am not using this soap again! I know we have a new box style but after looking at an old box that was tossed in a drawer, I may have the evidence. Three different perscripton creams tried on it and nothing is working.
I have been using this non-soap colloidal oatmeal bar from head to toe for years. It was the best for my ultra sensitive skin. The new formula demotes the oatmeal to second with sodium cocoyl isethionate first. The original had only 12 ingredients, the new has 16 (less is more!) The new has paraffin (a petroleum product for sensitive skin?!), the original did not. The original specifically states it is not only fragrance free but dye free as well. The new does not. For someone who has depended on this product solely for total body cleansing for almost 15 years, I'm extremely disappointed in Aveeno, and beg you to return to the original formula! If it ain't broke don't fix it!
This product has been changed again. The product is not the same as before, ingredients have been changed. This product is causing side effects which never happened before in the last 30 years. Face is swelling when using.
