I am pleased with this item.
Bought this recently. Pickup was easy. Is a good priced tuner that works well. The screens are pleasant and professional looking. The included antenna is handy. Picks up many local channels. Like most now digital TV reception these days, you get different channels different days, depending on weather and position of antenna. Same with FM Radio Stations. Moving the Antenna Around Gets You More Of Both. The connection for Antenna or Cable is the Same and might work for A Bigger Non-Electric Room TV Antenna. And Get More Channels. Haven't tried that yet. I'm not sure if that might overwhelm the little Tuner Stick. Might Be Fine. Like anything electronic, the Tuner & Antenna Can Be effected by Recent Solar Flares occasionally. Good to Be Careful About Computers, Attachments, TVs, Cable boxes, Vehicles and ALL Electronics right now. But Overall It's A Very Capable Good Product. Great For Weather Emergencies. Or On The Go. Fun To Use.
It's an excellent tv tuner and I would recommend to friends.
It's very hard to figure out how the software works. The PDF manual is copyrighted 2011 so this thing isn't exactly the latest and greatest, and instructions are incredibly vague about some details. With a little savvy and a lot of patience, though, it seems to do what it's supposed to. I tried a scheduled recording and it did the job and played back just fine. If not for the difficulty of the interface I'd definitely give it five stars. The hardware is great, even the little toy antenna included gets better reception than the big one I use for the TV. As an inexpensive option for watching OTA broadcasts on your computer this is worth looking at.
Couldn't get it work using windows 10 or 7. The installation was fast but after five channel scans I still didn't get any channels. It wasn't worth the hassle in my opinion.
