I bought this sealer because my old name brand sealer would stop vacuuming after 10 bags or so and overheated easily. I make my own venison sausage and am sealing 30-50 bags, so I wanted something that would hold up and this sealer did not disappoint me. The Avid Armor sealer is made in the USA and is heavy duty steel, which are major advantages for my choice. The vacuum is strong and the seal is wider than my previous sealer. When making my own bags, the bottom seal is closer to the edge of the bag so there is not as much material waste as in other brands. I really like the pulse option for delicate items and that you can adjust times if necessary. The only minor cons are it does not have a cutter and I have to hold the lever down to keep the bag in place until the unit starts.
After going through two FoodSaver sealers, I decided to go a different route and am I glad I did! The Avid Armor A100 has been amazing. I have a craft sausage company, so I put this thing through the ringer and it seals the bag every single time without issue. I highly recommend!
The Avid Armor Vacuum Sealer is the real deal. Not a toy but more commercially built. I highly recommend this machine.
After researching what I believe to be every vacuum sealer option available under $400, I ended up choosing the A100. The reviews on excellent customer service is what led me to this company vs similar models from other companies. There were many complaints about no customer service, long turn around times on warranties, and no available parts from the other manufacturers. So far I have sealed close to 80lbs of a variety of types of processed venison. It was simple to use right out of the box, had excellent vacuum, and provided an excellent wide seal on two different brands of bags. It feels durable, is simple to use, and has plenty of power. My only dislike is the large warning/tips sticker along the front of the clear lid. I think it cheapens the look. I would remove it if I knew that I could get the adhesive off without harming the acrylic.

This is an excellent, stainless steel vacuum sealer. It appears to be well made and is very sturdy. Also easy to operate. We bought another brand and it did not work right out of the box. So after shopping around, we feel this is a good vacuum sealer!!!
I love this vacuum sealer. After going through 3 foodsaver brand machines within the past 5 years I wanted something that would last longer and provide a better seal along with additional optional settings. This machine has definitely met those expectations. Please keep in mind that it does take some time getting use to all the different settings for “different” foods. But overall I am EXTREMELY happy that I bought this machine.
This is the best I ever had. Better tan all the food savers lve ever owned. It has better pump and includes Accessory port with connection tube. Also included replacement seal tape and wire and gaskets.
I really like this sealer. Sealed 50 pounds of venison bacon very fast. I really like this vacuum sealer.
Vacuum is faster than other food saving brands Ive used in the past. Nice wide, easy to remove tray for cleaning. Seems like a nice unit!
