My toddler like to carry him around and play the sounds already installed or I connect to my phone with the Bluetooth and play his favorite nursery rhymes. It's easy to use and the battery lasts a long time. The lights are a cute touch. Even my 6 year old enjoys playing sounds with Earl.

My granddaughter loves this. The lughts excite her and makes her giggle. She knows when this comes on its nap time or bedtime. Such a nice addition to our bedtime routine.

This is especially helpful in households with more than one child, so it can help block the noises of the house while baby drifts off to sleep. Even better, it has a timer function, so you don't have to leave it on all night.

But also, during the day, bluetooth can be connected and music can be played at a decent volume. The battery life is excellent. Charging time is reasonable as well.

The sound quality is pretty good. It's durable and the perfect size for little hands. I'll turn it on and he starts having a dance party. It does have a soothing sound function and a nightlight, but we haven't personally used for that purpose.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love, love, love Earl the Sound Explorer! We did not expect to enjoy the company of Earl as much as we have. The soother is well-constructed, lights up, and has multiple ways to play music. Our favorite way to play music on the soother is via the built-in 10 classical melodies (we've also used the Bluetooth functionality to play songs from the Einstein playlists on Pandora). This paired with the ability to set a timer is gold! We play the melodies on a 30-minute timer before bedtime and the end of the music signals that it's time to get ready for sleep. My LO loves to take Earl by the light-up headset "handle" and swing him around. We use Earl every day, sometimes twice a day. I highly recommend this product as a gift for a new baby!

It takes a little while to figure out exactly how to use it (at least it did for us) but once you do it's great and it can be charged by USB which is super helpful.
