Purchased this for $340 which is over $60 cheaper than I could find a Combo Dresser that was of similar quality/build. The product comes in two boxes and only took me about an hour or so to put together. Instructions were easy enough to follow and there was nothing missing or damaged. One suggestion I have is when putting the drawers together is to use some wood glue in the dowel holes and when putting the drawer backing in place to strengthen them. We also got the hutch for this, but will wait to put it on until after we are done with the need for a changer. My wife and I a really happy with this combo dresser!
I purchased this during my first pregnancy- that was back in 2010! I am still using it today :-) it has survived the past 6yrs of being my daughters and now it is currently being used in the nursery for my 4m old twins. My husband put everything together himself when we first got it and had said was fairly easy to do. We got the complete set and it took him about day to put everything together. The color is exactly what I wanted and expected for expresso. We've had a few marks appear over the years but would be expected and were easily polished out. I've been an owner of this for the past 6yrs and couldn't be happier with the product and quality- and best of all the price was a great deal for such a great piece of furniture
Very easy to assemble. Love this dresser!!!
We were very please with this dresser!! We purchased the entire Cadence collection and it all arrived Site-to-store in 2 weeks!! The directions to put the dressers together were a little confusing, I would recommend laying it all out and going through each step before actually screwing in pieces. The overall assembly for this piece took about an hour and a half. I didn't think it was too bad! It is very sturdy and looks very nice with the hutch! We heard that it scratches easily so we were careful and nothing got scratched. Overall we are extremely pleased with this set!!
All wood except for drawer bottoms and dresser backing, very nice piece. Lay out and label hardware before building to facilitate process. Recommend 2 people to put together, and lots of patience. Large piece make sure to measure space before buying. Drawers seemed not as sturdy would recommend wood glue on seems after putting together, let dry before attaching to dresser.
I really like this dresser. It's a great size. I thought it a bit expensive for the quality, but it goes so well with the crib. The espresso color is gorgeous. It was easy to assemble. The only thing I'll have to do to it is get little felt pads to put in the door and drawers because they tend to close hard and loud. I would recommend this dresser.
We opened the packages this morning. There were no instructions included in the boxes. We looked for information about the manufacturer. No such luck. I typed Baby Mod into google. Milliondollarbaby.com did NOT have the instructions we were looking for (which turns out is the manufacturer). After an hour of researching, I found a site, docstoc.com, that had a PDF file for the DaVinci Kalani dresser instructions (which is the exact same dresser FYI). After we printed the directions, the only item labled was the bottom frame, which indicated which was the front of the dresser. The rest was us guessing, and second guessing if we had the right part. There were a few parts that were not squared. My husband took a knife and sawed one issue part so that the middle insert would fit correctly. I was suprised that there were shelves in the cabinet (pro) but bothered that they do not get attached to the dresser (con). My husband commented on the quality of the bottoms of the drawers, which are thin (con). The drawers themselves are longer than I expected and the majority of the dresser is made from really stable wood (pro). The coloring is very pretty and the over all look is very pleasing. Beyond the headache of no instructions and guessing which parts where which, I am happy with the the purchase.
Truly is a beautiful dresser, seems very sturdy and solid. When you add the hutch it seems like it could tilt more easily, but they include anti tilt straps with both the dresser and hutch. Just as the other reviews, there are NO LABELS on the pieces, you have to figure out what's what, but it wasn't that hard if you use common sense. Took my husband and I approx an hour to put together. The espresso is a beautiful color, but does scratch easily.
This is a very nice product but it took at least 2 hours just to get everything out of the boxes and figure where every piece goes. I would recommend this product if you have time and patients.
