Overall this is one of the best things that I recieved from my shower. This crib can truly compete with some of the more expensive brands on the market it is very sturdy and looks absolutely fabulous in the nursery. After months of owning the product it is still in pristine condition, the only drawback is finding a teething rail that will fit so that he won't have wood and paint chips in his mouth.
We ordered this crib for our son due in Febuary. It's strong, sturdy, and looks great. The color is ebony, and it matches well with our black furniture- we ordered the Storkcraft Beatrice dresser to go with the crib. My husband put it together and he said it was really easy. The directions were not great, but he said to just take your time and lay out all of the pieces before starting. The crib is pretty big, which is good because we have a lot of space in his nursery. We LOVE this crib. Oh and Baby Mod is the same brand as Davinci, which a bit more expensive and sold at Babies R Us. A nice bonus is the fact that the toddler rail comes with it, so that's not an extra purchase. The drawer on the bottom is nice too.
We ordered 2 of these cribs for our twin boys. They both had all the pieces are were perfect. Highly recommend. Instructions really stink, but it still didn't take very long at all to put together. Great buy for the price!
Love this crib. Just put it together last week so I am not sure about the longevity of it yet. The directions were great an fairly easy to follow.
We've been looking for a crib for months, we really wanted black so we could use the dresser and rocker that we already have, but finding an affordable one that would hold up over time proved near impossible!! Knowing that this brand is made by DaVinci made it easier and the style is very close to a much more exensive expresso colored crib that I loved, so we took a chance... and I'm glad we did. The crib looks so great in our little boy to be's room. Very striking. I like the stationary side its actually really easy to lean in, and with all the recalls on drop sides it makes me feel safer too. The Crib is made of NewZealand Radiata Pine, wich is common in crib/funiture use but is a fairly soft wood so I'm a little afraid of future dings and teeth marks, we'll see. I was a bit surprised with the drawer (compared to that of other put together drawers) it has a board seperating it down the center into two compartments making it much more sturdy (I hope!). The biggest issue we had was putting the crib together, the instructions are not overly detailed (lots of drawings, little words) and none of the pieces were marked (this was very frustrating, lots of guessing) the instructions had numbers for each piece but no corresponding numbers on the pieces. I would suggest matching the pieces up with the pics first and then laying them out to avoid possible confusion. All in all we're very happy with the look and construction of this crib.
The bed is a very nice bed with the curved lines. It is sturdy and easy to get in and out of when putting the baby down or getting out. I would recommend this bed. The only problem are the directions. The directions to put this bed together are the worst I have every seen.
When I ordered this crib I was very nervous about what kind of quality I would receive and what is it really going to look like, but like so many American's watching their pennies right now the price over ruled everything else. I was genuinely surprised and very pleased at how much more expensive looking and beautiful in person this crib is, for the price. I also had it sent to the store to save on shipping (it took about a week) this crib is a best buy. My husband did want me to write even thought the crib went together well the directions were horrible to follow
