my husband and I put this together in an hour (with power tools). the instructions are a little confusing so read carefully. we're happy with the modern look of the piece and it looks great in our new baby room. I agree with the other posts, the wood (the reddish brown pieces, all else is particle board) dents easy but that's okay - nothing can be perfect.
I love this changer, it looks great and it is easy to built (8 months pregnant with huge belly). It is important to be careful with some heavier parts because wood can get chipped easily if it falls. It is slightly bigger than I thought but you will be able to fit a ton of things inside. It has shelves (behind the doors) that you can organize as you want. Looks modern, with a good simple design and sturdy.We don't have the baby here yet but I am sure he will love it. I might buy the crib too!.
There is so much that the Walmart photo doesn't show! The storage on the inside is shelves perfect for all the diaper essentials. AND the changing table on the top has a cool section to store those items you want handy. I also think the piece looks much more attractive in person than in the photo. My very favorite thing is the solid wood construction, non-toxic finishes and eco-friendly touches that make this such a unique and affordable piece!
We're really pleased with the 2-door changer - it is bigger than I thought but looks very clean and modern. Note that, on the inside, the shelves are divided vertically, so there are three longer ones on the left and three narrower ones on the right. My husband set it up while I was out, so I don't know how easy it was, but he said it was fine. It arrived with a small scratch on it, which, thankfully was at the back, so didn't matter. Can't wait to set up the matching crib!
We bought the whole Olivia set and are very pleased. This piece is quite a bit larger than I expected and will have LOTS of storage room for diapers and other similar toiletries. which will be nice so I will quickly be able to access everything I need. After watching this item when it was out of stock for so long, we bought it as soon as it became available. We still have 3 months until our little boy gets here, so I can't write on it's functionality/usability. Two minor complaints, both are with the base. It's a bit more reddish than I was hoping for (I was hoping for brown) and the legs sit pretty close to the corners rather than set back a little like the other 2 pieces. Overall though I still highly recommend this product.
I can't take all the credit for putting this one together, my wife who is in her 8th month did most of the assembly. I did have to help out at the end though because it is HEAVY!!! It looks great w/out crib (Baby Mod Parklane). Some friends were just syaing they wished they'd seen these products before spending the small furtune on their furniture. Who needs Oeuf, good luck noticing the differences. It went together nicely, has a nice finish, easy to follow instructions. The only issue we have is it seems to be designed for lefties. The changing area has the holder for wipes etc on the left end of the tray, I suppose you could flip it and re drill the holes and patch the others or you can just get on with it and grab things w/your left hand. All in all, another solid product that looks great, seems like it will last as long as you'll need it and then be able to hand off to someone else and they'll actually want it! j
I was looking for something modern and not overly priced. I purchased the dresser, changer, and matching crib. The changer door has had trouble staying on track; therefore, the circles don't match perfectly. Aside form that, I couldn't be happier with the pieces. The quality is excellent for the price and the set is even nicer in person than in pictures.
Nice piece once you get the doors hung, but it was a pain to get the doors to hang correctly. This was by far the hardest piece to put together of the set but it does look really good. Another thing, when securing the border/lip piece to the top of the changer, be careful when putting in the anchor screws b/c there are no pre-drilled holes and its really easy to split the wood and damage it. I modified it and placed them lower on the back so that it wouldn't show so bad if the screws damaged the wood.
I also ordered the crib, and dresser and this was the most difficult piece to assemble. It was missing a part and that took about a week to replace. I like that the changer part can be removed and this can be used later on as a toy cupboard or book shelves. Has a great look to it and the price is right.
I purchased the olivia changer as well as the 4 drawer dresser and the crib. The dresser was falling apart before my son was even born. Every time I opened a drawer a screw would fall out or the face of the drawer would fall off. My husband had to glue pieces back on just for it to serve it's purpose. My son is 5 months old now and of course we use the changer every day, multiple times a day. The top slides and of course screws fall out. I was restocking his diapers and the shelves collapsed. He does not sleep in the crib and I don't think he EVER will. I know this is not top of the line, grade "A" furniture but it should at least serve it's purpose, and should be able to use for more than 5 months. Like I said it was falling apart before my son was even born.
