My husband and I bought this piece to go with the Parklane 3 in 1 Espresso Crib because we didnt like the Parklane changer and this one matches perfect! Its still very clean lined and contemporary. It's a lot bigger than I was expecting, which was nice. The instructions are a little hard to follow, but it was fairly easy to put together. We are really pleased with it. The only thing is that I didnt like the changing pad it came with, its really thin. I plan on upgrading it. Other than that its a great piece of furniture and we couldnt be happier with the price! Definitely recommend this changer.
It wasn't too bad putting it together. It's a really pretty color. The changing pad that comes with it is pretty much like paper, so I bought a better one. It looks nice and can't tell it's not all wood, the majority is though. I'm happy with it.
Excellent price, good quality, real wood. It was easy & quick to put together, approx. 1 hr, instructions were good & detailed. Stable. Color matches other Baby Mod espresso products. Definitely recommend to others.
Not the best quality piece of furniture but we didn't expect it to be for the money we spent on it. It will serve it's purpose for the amount of time we will use it. It looks very nice and the espresso color was only a little bit lighter than our crib which is more than we expected because they are different brands.
I bought this to go with the Pottery Barn espresso crib I bought and couldn't handle paying 800 for the changing table that goes with it. It meets expectations I guess for furniture you assemble yourself. Assembly took about one hour and went smoothly. Drawers are not exactly super sturdy but it's ok for the price point. I plan on using this piece of furniture for less than 5 years anyway. The one thing I don't like which the pictures do not show (but I knew from other review) is that you can see on the sides the large bolts that hold it together. I would prefer if you couldn't see that. Not sure how they managed to photo it without those bolts in there. But overall pleased and got what I expected for the money. Site to store definitely saved money.
I would suggest this product because it is economical and its one of the few dressers I found where I didn't have to purchase a changer to put on top. I purchased an espresso crib from Baby's Dream Inc. Instead of buying the matching dresser for $400 & a changer for $70 we decided to purchase this one from Walmart. The color is not the espresso of the crib, nor the color of other espresso furniture products found in Walmart. I spent another $40 on stain (ebony color), the protective coating, supplies & nicer knobs. Everything matches now...it looks great! The instructions were awful! Things were going fine at first but around step 7 it went downhill. Tip: Buy some wood gule & read the instructions from beginning to end b4 you start assembly. For example, when instructed to put up one side, to get it steady I put on the otherside...not reading ahead to see that you had to put the back piece on b4 the second side went up. Very frustrating. You definitely need more than 1 person to assemble. I handle the dresser with care when moving it...not the piece of furniture that will be in your family for generations to come. Overall: if you can afford to spend the extra $, spend it b/c it will save you the frustration & extra steps to match the color, plus you'll have it for much longer. If not, buy this dresser. After everything is said & done, you won't remember the furry you felt assembling it or the time taken to stain it....unless you have to write a review on the product:-)
We purchased this piece to accompany our BabyMod crib and they both look very nice in our nursery. The crib was easier to assemble and much sturdier than the changer due to the combined use of cam locks and screws. However, the changer is held together with only cam locks which makes it much more difficult to assemble, and in some cases, loose in places. On our changer, one cam lock wouldn't lock at all. My husband would crank and crank and we could pull the side right up off of the bolt every time. There is no way it would have held together. Thankfully that was the only cam lock that gave us a problem and my husband secured that spot with wood glue. The other locks fit snugly and so the overall piece is sound and we'll be able to use it safely. I am pleased with our decision to purchase this item, but I do wish we lived in a day and age where $260 paid for a bit more quality. In short, this was our middle of the road option - truly quality items weren't in our price range and though this is not the best quality, it seems better than others even of similar price.
I got exactly what I expected with this product which is why I rated it at 3 stars. The size, color and dimensions were exactly as specified and the product was easy to put together but I think you need two people for it to go smoothly. I just can't believe that $230 doesn't buy more substance. The actual dollar value of this changing table should not be over $170.00. Baby mod needs to look at their pricing structure and modify the prices to fit the quality of the product.
I thought I was getting a great price on this changing table until I realized how poor the quality of this piece of furniture is. The drawers slide very poorly. The middle drawer broke within the first couple months of purchase, the front came right off in my hands when I was opening it. It is nice looking but I don't think it will last through a second baby.
This changing table is a nightmare! My husband had to glue & nail the drawer rails on, there was a huge dent in the front & the cam locks kept stripping. He ended up at the hardware store looking for parts to replace the ones that came w/ it because they were so poorly made. Once together it was very rickety... maybe because none of the hardware fit appropriately. This changing table cost more than our crib & the crib is GREAT (Graco Lauren in Espresso). I do not recommend this item.
