This crib seems to be very nice. It is stylish, affordable, and appears to be well made. The baby hasn't arrived yet so I can't comment on the durability, but it seems like it will hold up well. Only problem we had is that the instructions that were sent with the crib didn't match this model. Looks like they were made for a different crib, so some of the steps didn't make sense, and we had to backtrack a couple times because we used the wrong screws or things like that. How hard can it be to put together some good instructions that match? Overall, though, we're very satisfied with this crib.
Beautiful Crib and easy to assemble, I did it myself at 5 months pregnant. It looks beautiful, very classic style and very sturdy. The teething guards on the rails are great and the mattress fits nice and snug. It looks like a much more expensive piece of furniture. Very similar to the Pottery Barn Kendall Crib, except this one has a drawer underneath too! Totally recommend.
To my surprise there were no instructions in my box! Lucky me! You kind of have to really stare at the pieces and the picture on the box to see how it's supposed to all fit together. I opted to leave the bottom drawer off cause there is more storage room under the crib than just using the drawer, which is made out of that not very sturdy particle board. Altogether a nice, sturdy crib. I would definately reccomend this to another mother to be.
This crib was easy to assemble. We are very happy with the quality and the value. It is sturdy and well constructed. The teething rails are great. The mattress and sheets fit perfectly in the crib. The Roxanne crib is very similar to the Pottery Barn Kendall crib except this also has a drawer underneath it. I can put the extra sheets and blankets in the drawer. The value is great at half the price of the comparable style elsewhere.
We have had this crib for over a year and absolutely love it! It looks great and was easy to put together! The crib skirt fits perfectly once the ends are tucked under the mattress. I forget there is a drawer underneath so we haven't used that yet! We also purchased the matching 3-Drawer Changing Table, and love it! We may even purchase the 4-drawer dresser.
Great value compared to other online sources for the same crib. There was some dirt due to storage/shipping but that cleaned up easily. Assembly was fairly straightforward, I ended up having to swap out some screws due to the vague descriptions in the materials list, and I ended up with 4 screws that didn't work according to the instructions, but weren't integral to the crib's assembly (snapping the top pieces onto the side rails was sufficient since the screws had nothing to screw into.) Overall we were pleased.
I purchased this product based on previous reviews since it cannot be seen or touched in stores. Pro's ... Price/value. Looking for a crib in this price range and liked that it had a matching dresser which I purchased. Liked that it had a bright white finish which not all seemed to have based on reviews. Liked the contemporary style and that it had a drawer for extra storage. Con's ... Paint chips easy. Tried to be very careful while assembling, but still had a scratch and a dent. The wood seems very soft. However it is easily touched up (we used Home Depot's brand paint semi gloss to touch up ...their base white). Turned out fine. This could be a reality with all white cribs, but I'm a first time mom, so don't know for sure. Also, a little concerned about the drop down feature. It doesn't seem to be a solid mechanism. I would have liked it to have been sturdier. The directions were a little tricky. Not as easy as the matching drawers I bought. But probably a reality with most crib directions. Overall for what you get for the price ... I would buy again.
I am very happy with this purchase. THe set up was not difficult except at the end when we had to insert the side of the bed with the railing.....I could not put it into the side rails and had to undo the headboard to insert it. A little waste of time but not too bad. I chose white to avoid having to deal with scratches. With white, it is easy to fix ....easier than trying to match a wood color!. It came very fast and in excellent shape! I also bought the dresser, perfect condition and a breath to set up!
Very happy with this crib -- we spent a lot of time trying to find a crib that had clean, simple lines, was made of real wood, had a drop side, and didn't cost over $500. This one fits all our needs. Item exactly as pictured. Two warnings: some exposed hardware (gold screw tops) though barely noticeable; and I was told we would be called to schedule the delivery but it was left at our doorstep sans warning.
Overall I really like the crib. The instructions are not the easiest to follow and I recommend at least looking them over completely before starting. The mattress spring can be adjusted to three different heights. The drawer is definitely nice for extra storage space. We haven't used the crib yet so I can't speak to its durability. I don't know if mine is missing the parts but in the online photo there are no screws showing on the front but on my crib they do show. I was disappointed about that but I'm sure it's an easy fix. Overall I think the crib is a great value and looks great in my nursery.
