I buzz my head all the way down to stubble 2-4 times a week. I had the regular rechargeable version of this for over 6 years. I discovered it because my hairdresser had it, I loved the way my head felt after she buzzed it, and I got one through her. It lasted forever. I loved it. Eventually I left it turned on in the charging cradle. It died. I've been through cheap beard trimmers and powerful ones, but none were as smooth, quiet, and refined as my Babybliss. I really like the fact that on my new Corded/Cordless, that I don't have to worry about running out of power half way through shaving my head. I just plug it in and it has full power. Also, you don't need the base to charge it. You can simply use the cord. That makes it very easy to travel with. I haven't tried to get more, but one charge easily does my head and beard at least 3 times. If I keep the hair short it's very quick. The stubble is short and silky. Very sharp blades. It does not have the monster cutting power of a plug in model like the Wahl Peanut (which I also like a lot). This is cordless so that can't be expected. Also, it is a Dual Voltage unit, so again it's good for travel. It's relatively new, but this BabyLiss is exactly like my old one from 10+ years ago, except for the corded option, and I expect to get years of use out of it with a little TLC. I'm happy. Be sure to follow the battery instructions! 16 hour first charge and 16 hours once a month. I'd even spend the battery all the way down and do the 16 hours. It does have the older style NiCad battery, but I think they don't change the design of this unit because it's so proven. Also, it gives enough usage time for me.
