Love this grill. I've had mine for two years. Although I need to find a replacement grill grid for mine. How do I go about doing that. Any suggestions?
This is a very durable grill, excellent for a tailgating, hooks into hitch receiver, or pull the pin and remove the hitch attachment ( Included ) and set in on the picnic table, ( I sat mine on a small wooden cable spool, perfect height ) Heavy duty integrated ash pan and coal grate has handles for easy removal and cleaning. The 1 Piece cooking grate is well constructed, has built in handles for easy removal, and cleaning. High clearance between lid and cooking grate, enough room to cook 2 - 5 pound chickens on beer or soda can stands, will easily hold enough food to feed four Nice heavy latch on lid. The outer body is heavily constructed, and has heavy duty Metal handles, as does the lid !! Vents close tight so you can kill the fire and reuse your unburned coals. Yes it is Charcoal only, although I do use wet wood chunks for that great smoky taste!!! I have used this little grill almost every weekend for the past year since I bought it, and its still in excellent shape. I bought 1 for my friend also because he liked it so well, I might buy another for my motorhome. I have owned a lot of small grills in the past 20 years and this is by far my favorite!!!!
About 6 months ago these were in the Garden section at our local GreenBriar store in Wichita Falls, and I missed the opportunity to pick one up as a gift for someone. Today I walked into the garden section and saw a pallet full on sale for $30 each. Couldn't pass a deal like this so I picked up two for gifting. The only piece you need to buy separate for tailgate use is a hitch pin for the arm. Even though I haven't used it to know if it meets expectations, it certainly is a value when you can pick it up on sale at $30 which is half the on-line listed price of $59. I just wish they had them in store more often because they sell quick.
the assembly took nearly 2 hours. I am an engineer and have done construction all through college and I all I can say is the wrong nuts and bolts are used on this grill. Its incredibly hard to put the tiny screws and bolts together. I ended up leaving the lock part off because it was so frustrating. Again good grill but would like to see the manufacturer include the correct parts for assembly. Ignorantly designed assembly process!!!
