Unlike most Badger Balm tins, this little beauty contains both cocoa butter and shea butter, so its moisturizing properties last longer than the usual olive oil/beeswax combos on me. It smells just like summer, and lifts my spirits in colder months. But what I love most is after I apply it, my skin shimmers. It doesn't look oily, it just has a healthy glow. I use After Sun Balm mornings, midday, before bed, whenever I see the tin! It goes on elbows, knees, heels, hands, knuckles, and is a super substitute for the Cuticle Care, if I don't have my tin with me. As much as I love all of the individual Badger "flavors," if I had to pick just one, After Sun Balm would be it. Year round. My only wish is that it were offered in a larger tin. I can go through one of these in 2 weeks easy! Not because a little doesn't go a long way but for the sheer joy of applying and reapplying to get that non-coconut, tropical blast.
This product is, no joke - THE BOMB!. We use this every time someone in our house gets burned from the sun. After showering and before bed, we put it on WHEREVER the burns are. By the next morning, the 'pain' is almost always gone, and they are ready to go out and be active in the sun again. I don't know what we would do without it!
Blue tansy is one of my favorite essential oils and I find it's very soothing on my sensitive skin. This after sun balm is like heaven in a little tin! Not only do I use this on my skin after a beach day but I've also used it on dry winter days and the occasional razor burn! It's a miracle product. It is a balm so expect it to have a slight texture/greasiness to it but it does absorb well, just don't use it and immediately get dressed.
This is a great replacement for lotion. Especially if you prefer something that melts into the skin more. Lotion can be so thick to me. This product is light and airy and absorbs quickly. It's great for sunburns and is super soothing. I also use this product after hair removal on my face. I use an epilator and afterwards, my skin can be SO red and irritated. The blue tansy in this product soothes the irritation and helps my skin relax. Such a pleasant scent. I would be truly lost without my badger products.
I simply adore this balm! It is so soothing after being out in the sun gardening, even covered up. I love that it has blue tansy, a very good skin protector, you don't see this often in balms, and when you do, pick it up! I work managing garden centers, so I know what good soothing sun care can do after being in the sun all day.
It'll be a staple in my home, seeing as how we live in FL. Its a must! This product has a nice light fragrance. Goes on very easily, & evenly. It definitely made my sun parched skin feel better. I think it even improved the look of my kid's sunburnt cheeksthe day after using. I've said this about other Badger products too, you don't need much. I like that because you get bang for your buck.
I often use this as my night moisturizer. It's very soothing and works well with my combination skin.
Sometimes I forget to put on my Badger sunscreen and get a little too much sun. The After Sun Balm is always cooling and refreshing.
Fast delivery. Lotion has a strong but pleasant smell and is very hydrating on my parched skin. I have just started using but works well so far
Very soothing! Makes my skin feel replenished and soft. The smell is ok, a bit on the citronella-y side but overall managable. Another reason this gets 4 stars is because I wish it was more of a lotion than balm....even though it does say balm on the tin! It would just be easier to slather on your body is it's a little softer.
