I used this for the first time yesterday out on the boat. My head normally gets burnt to where I have to put a hat on. I used this first thing in the morning, and notice never felt my head burning continue to use it a couple times throughout the day and had no scalp burn at all.This was the first time I did not have to put a hat on while being out on the boat. I love this product will be getting more
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Banana Boat Hair and Scalp Spray is totally amazing as it prevents the dreadful sensation of scalp itch when spending time either outdoors or doing any type of outdoor activity for prolonged hours. Leaving our scalp skin unprotected is not a smart thing to do and this product is effective at preventing scalp itch plus protecting our hair from sun damage. We are using it when going outdoors and using our swimming pool for prolonged hours. I love how effective it is and how it protects our scalp and hair. I totally recommend this product to everyone spending prolonged hours in the sun as our skin does need protection from the UV rays.

We used traditional sunscreen which needs to be massaged in before . We now tried the banana boat hair and scalp spray. It's easy to use on the hair. It dint leave the hair frolic g sticky and heavy. Easy to spray on. I also used it on rest of the exposed part of the kids and it's so easy. It has to be reapplies every 80 minutes. This product will be handy for us when we visit the beach as it doesn't contain oxybenzone or octinoxate. This makes it safe for the sea life . Will definitely be a regular user of this spray on sunscreen in future.
This stuff is amazing. Traditional sunscreen would make my sons hair really greasy and yucky but this does not and its smells very light.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Banana Boat hair and scalp spray is a new staple in my beach tote! For someone with very fine hair like me this product is a total must have. I love going to the beach and basking in the sun. I have all the products to get my skin protected but always realize like a week after that my scalp shed like how a sunburned skin sheds after like a week. Of course I can't put sunscreen lotion on my hair so that's just something I thought I had no control over. Then came this product. It's perfect and it works great as it protects my scalp from getting sunburned. How did I not discover this sooner?? The best part about it is that it leaves no icky residue and the spray allows the product to be evenly distributed. Totally recommending this to all my fellow beach bums!

This feels like you have no sunscreen on at all ! Does the job well and I use it all over my body . No sticky feel . Perfect for your hair .

The packaging is nice and the sprayer works well. I love the scent, it makes my hair smell fantastic! It is lightweight and doesn't make my hair feel too greasy but maybe just a little which isn't bad. You will not get sunburned if you reapply every few hours like the instructions state. Love it!

I have two very active little boys who love the outdoors. My 6 yr old always tends to get sun irritation on his scalp during soccer games so I'm constantly having to put sunscreen on his head. Most sunscreens are impossible to blend without some work. The spray is so much easier to apply and convenient for in a hurry or on the go.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was expecting for hair and scalp sunscreen to be more like a dry shampoo or some other type of texture, but this is exactly like regular spray sunscreen as it comes out wet. If you are planning to keep your hairstyle and use this, it is not going to work. I think this sunscreen will be good for the beach, pool, hiking, or yard work where you are already going to have messed up hair. I have really fine hair and it did leave residue on my hair which made it look somewhat stringy. Overall, I think in most situations where I am worried about a scalp sunburn my hair looking nice is low on the list so this is a good idea. However I'm not totally convinced this is any different than regular spray sunscreen. What I do love is this is reef safe and water resistant for 80 minutes.
