As a child, I always thought it unfair that people of color did not have a bandage option that more closely matched their skin tone. Thank you for seeing this need and being inclusive.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this Bandage as a trial and I have showered with it on and 3 days later it still sticks completely. I removed it and adhesive was still strong. Not to mention NO ONE noticed I had it on.
The Band-Aid OurTone claims to have a stretchable, comfortable fabric with movement in mind. It has a full width pad for maximum wound coverage and absorption, and the pad is designed to wick away fluids and keep the wound clean. Being a POC (person of color), I've always hated how bandages stood out on my skin-tone, so I wouldn't wear one in public if I had a cut. When I found out that they were creating bandages for deeper complexion, I was ecstatic. The bandages come in many different shades, and upon opening, I noticed that the bandages come in different sizes. This is good for the short to large wounds/cuts. I can agree that the fabric is stretchable and flexible which is good for those uncomfortable spots, such as ankles, elbows, etc. These bandages are comfortable and kept me covered when I had a cut. I would highly recommend this product to my POC friends.
These are so perfect for people of color who have a hard time trying hide a scar. My son had a bad scar on his forehead and had to wear this for weeks and it blended so well with his skin tone that it wasn't an eye sore to look at . They are really durable as well.
I was so happy to see Bandaid come out with Ourtone bandaids. These are perfect for every skin tone and they are made for everyone. I'm teaching my daughter about the different races and we I love using bandaids ourtone as the perfect example.
I was too light for them, but my mother loved them! They blended right in with her skin! She loved being able to have bandaids that matched her skin tone and was sharing them with friends at the clinic she's a nurse at! I love this product! Initially I bought the middle color because it was the only color at the store, so I thought it was the only color made. It was great! A few months later the store had all 3 tones. What an idea for a company to recognize consumers come in all skin tones! I bought the lightest tone for me as I am a very fair complexion African-American. I bought the darkest for my husband who is a very dark complexion African-American. We have found the quality to be exactly the same as the old school color band-aids. Thank you for these! Kudos to your diversity and inclusion teams! Please do not stop manufacturing these!
It's a flexible bandage move with us and stay in place for up to 6-8 hours if the area is dry. It can be used for both adults and children. It also helps to heal the small wound easily by protecting that form dust and water.
I'm very disappointed with this product it starts it unravel when you are wearing it and it immediately comes off when you get it wet and the color doesn't match your skin color.
