The cover and the base do not fit well together. The combination lock tumblers are hard to turn. I oiled and it did not help. The tumbler seem to go with difficulty in only one direction only. Also note that it is a "compact" gun safe and will house only compact/small automatic pistols. I will will, most likely, use it to store ammo in.
