Best FPS with many improvements since battlefield 3.
Awesomeness of a game !!
Game downloaded fine, I had to add the battlelog.battlefield site address in both http and https , into my list of trusted sites so the battlelog plugin would download and work with IE and Windows 8.1. I also had to uncheck the https sites only under my trusted sites list and the plugin installed properly. I have just over 3 hours of play time in, I have only had one server crash so far, the other servers that I joined worked fine. Game play was fun, in game movement is fine. I connect to Origin first, then I launch BF 4 from Origin, game loads fine, servers load time could be faster, but its not really a problem. BF 4 seems fine to me, I like it, its fun, I also play COD Ghosts on pc and enjoy it as well.
Its what you expect from a FPS game. 5/10 stand alone game 8/10 multiplayer* *Multiplayer experience depends on your PC's performance and your ability to buy expansion packs, but you already know this. There are enough servers running on the basic game to keep most happy.
The graphics and game play are outstanding. I love the AI Co-op game play and taking down tanks is a nice feeling xD. The only thing I don't like about this game is that I have to launch it thru a web browser that I had to install a "Add-On" plugin which I don't like. I'm suggesting making a game launcher like all the other AAA titles and this would be a perfect 5 star game.
After playing Battlefield 3, I was mildly disappointed that the single-player campaign mode did not offer much, but it was a great game nevertheless. Battlefield 4's campaign has even less to offer, but I have committed to gain more experience in online play since this is primarily a multiplayer game. I have heard a lot of complaints from people about bugs and crashes in the game, but since the latest patch from DICE, the game seems to have stabilized. My computer is running an Intel Core i7-950 processor, 12 GB RAM, an Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 video card, and Windows 8.1 Professional 64-bit. I am also running the 331.82 WHQL GeForce drivers. So far, I have had no issues with crashing and the game runs pretty good on ultra graphics settings and 1080p resolution. The devs were not kidding when they said that this game is optimized for Windows 8. Frostbite 3 seems like a well-optimized graphics engine and runs better than CryEngine 3 while delivering breathtaking realistic visuals without sacrificing much in the way of frame rate performance. The game has a good variety of missions to offer, including air and sea battles. If you are a fan of multiplayer tactical combat shooters, then this is a good game to pick up.
first the player wouldn't look down the sites so I updated the video drivers and then loaded all the windows updates to be sure my system was up to date and now the game won't launch. It keeps asking for a plug in that is already installed. There really isn't any support at EA directly. I got on the chat support and they told me to uninstall the latest windows internet explorer and install a third party browser like chrome and then the game might work. bottom line is that I spent $60 on a game that won't run on windows 7 and there is no customer support from EA. buyer beware.....
Not Compatible with windows 8.1. As soon as you download the required Plugin that is when it becomes incompatible with windows 8.1. Can;t get a refund since it is an open package, I lost $22.00
