This item is great for all kids. I thought for the price I would get something that didn't really resemble the picture online, but I was astounded that the item was as well built and durable as stated and looked as good in person as it did online.
This is much more sturdy than the cars bed tent we bought a year or so ago. It's well built & my son loves it.
I ordered this for my 6 year old and he loves it. There is more than enough room for both kids to play in it at same time. The price was wondeful. It is tall and they can pretty much stand up in it. Would highly recommend this tent for any child.
I purchased this for my son after finding it online. Yes, the directions didnt help much. But it only takes common sense to put it together. you have to push the poles into the fittings tightly to prevent them from coming out. There are 2 longer poles that make the top and bottom circle (yes, it bends to make a circle) and 8 smaller poles that connect the top and bottom circle. The top pointed part connects to the top circle. The fabric slips right over the frame. EASY!! My son LOVES his rocket. Any our 7 year old daughter loves it too
The product is much bigger than I thought when I viewed online. Both myself and my son fit inside. I am 5'9" and my son is 48". When puttting the tent togather at first sight you may be confused. However, you will most likely need two people and follow the directions. It will come out perfect. Once the plastic tubes are attatched to the top and bottom tubes it will form a circle. Place the tent over the tubes and booya, you have your Rocket Ship!! My 6 year old son loves the tent.
This was bought as a birthday present for our 3 year old son. He loves it because he is obsessed with rocket ships, and wants to sleep in it at night. Our 5 year old daughter likes it as well. It's tall enough that both kids can fit inside at the same time, and can stand up in it. In fact, a 6 foot adult can fit inside if they sit. Our 3 year old is in the 100 percentile growth range, and his feet stick out when he lies down with his body straight. Normal 3-year-olds will fit inside completely. All fit if they bend their legs slightly. From an adult perspective, it's expensive compared to similar tents of this type. However, the tent material is of much higher quality, and is a thicker fabric instead of a thin vinyl like in normal tents. One adult can assemble it alone, because a cord holds the pieces together when you flex them into the circle shape. We were impressed with the design and the build quality. The tent is not waterproof, and is designed for indoor play only. We chose the shipping option, and it was drop-shipped from a third-party vendor. That means Walmart quoted us 4-6 days for shipping, but it arrived in 2. Your experience may vary on that, of course, but we were really thrilled with the service.
My children and I were very much excited about this tent, but after trying to assemble it, I am really disappointed. I'm not sure how the previous person assembled their tent with just one person because my husband and I working together are barely able to assemble it. I really wish that the instructions were a little more clear, they pretty much just said, "Assemble". I'm torn between returning it and allowing the children to tear it down in its wobbly state and then throw it away. I really hope that its just us that can't put it together because it is a cool looking tent.
I read the reviews before i bought this tent and they were 50/50 the main complaint being not being able to put the thing together. But thinking that my husband and I are pretty crafty and have always been able to assemble things in the past i bought it! Oh what a mistake. It is flimsy and IMPOSSIBLE to assemble. How are 8 perfectly rigid poles supposed to make a circle? Please do yourself a favor and buy a better tent!
I just spent over two hours attempting to put this tent together, and right now it is still in shambles on the floor. The directions are have no details and are three "simple" pictures. The tension poles come undone and when connected make an octogon, however the tent cover is round. Tying it together is impossible and the poles come undone when you attmpt to make the cover fit. I am usually savy about putting things together , and I have camped for years, but this thing is impossible, which is a shame because my four year old has been waiting to use this and is now heartbroken. Don't waste your time with this product.
I thought this tent looked awesome for my 2yr old, but we couldn't put it together. The frame was too big for the tent and the directions were not helpful at all. Don't waist your time buying this product. It is a great idea in theory, but can't be assembled.
