This was the easiest way to install a rear camera in my Chevy S10, linked up to my Garmin GPS, it gives me a clear, wide angle rear view, I don't know how the batteries will last as I haven't had it more than a couple weeks, the only thing I would have wanted was a way to attach it more securely to the license plate so it couldn't be stolen, as it is, it c could be easily removed.
Does the job backing truck to trailer.
Easy hookup! Great quality!
Very nice item runs on 2 batteries. No wiring, and you can clip it in the license plate and clip it out. If you don't wanna leave it there, wonderful camera.
All my other vehicles have backup cameras and i have been trying to install ine on my older Jeep. The BC 40 is easy to install and connect. it does take a few attemps to adjust the viw from the camerabut this is also easy. i like the added safety when backing. It would be nice if the unit were a little more theft resistant.
The only thing that looks weak its the way the camera attaches into the bracket thinking if someone wants to steal it, its to easy to pull out of the bracket, but still to sooner to tell just got it few days ago .
It's a good idea to keep some aaa batteries available though, it does go through fairly quickly.
It works great but I was looking for different functions such as being able to keep camera on the entire time as I sometimes have my truck bed loaded and need help seeing behind me. Unfortunately this only works when going in reverse (which I don't need because my car already has a reverse camera) and if you are moving forward it only stays on for about 10 seconds. Because of this I am returning it.
I do not yet have the Garmin back-up camera
thinking about sending it back can't get it to work. contacting Garmin first
