So much fun ! Played with the whole family some of the little ones lost interest but still a great game ! Lots of fun good family time !
We gifted this to our son's teacher. He loved it and had a great time playing with his family. The questions are a bit tough and some are very easy. If you didn't know then you will learn with memorizing the cards. Great for educational driven families.
Easy to follow. Elementary age kids can follow and play easily! Fun for my husband and I too. Great Family night game.
(I received this as part of a promotion for my honest opinion) Beat the Parents is for 2-6 players, ages 6 and takes about 30 minutes to play. The kids and parents each pick a wager and the losers have to do or not do what the winners wagered. Each team reads trivia questions about their generation to the other team and you move your pawn with every correct answer, There aren't just question cards, there's challenge cards which makes it even more fun because you aren't just answering questions, you're up and active doing the challenge and some of them are just hilarious. Some of the trivia questions are ones you would think you know the answer to but you actually don't. It's fun, engaging, and challenging. The game includes 200 trivia and challenge cards, 1 game board, 1 sand timer, 2 pawns, 1 dry erase marker with clip, 1 wager board, and the instructions.
Gave this game to son and his family and they really are enjoying it.
I had my grandkids open this early at our family Christmas party and it kept everyone busy while we got dinner ready. A very clever idea for a game: kids answering adult questions and parents answering kids questions. My grandkids love winning, especially when it means besting adults.
My husband and I played with our two daughters 21 and 16. They knew a lot more about the adult world than we knew about theirs. It was very fun and didn't take too long to play.
Christmas gift for our grandkids. We call it Beat The Grandparents...It was fun
Though the game was pretty decent to first couple of times we played it, it grew old fast. Many of the questions are repeated on different cards and after a couple of games we all including the kids knew the answers by heart.
I bought this game as a cottage warming gift for my sister and nieces. I'd like to think my sister and I are smart people as we both have professional degrees (hers is in animal nutrition science and mine is elementary education), but even we couldn't answer a lot of the kid questions, and this game is labeled for ages 6 ???? Some examples of the kid questions are knowing about singers and songs and movies and actors from past decades, world rulers in history, and middle school/high school science (ie, cell structures and astronomy). The TV show “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader” had easier questions! I'm giving this two stars only because some of the challenges and activities are super engaging for kids.
