actual color and pic arent all that accurate but worked great for me - my other furnitre was darker.
I ordered the dresser hutch combo from walmart.com. I wasnt expecting anything nice, I just wanted it to match my other furniture (espresso.) My Dad put this together for me, he said it took several hours. It's WAY nicer than I ever expected for the price. It goes nice with my other espresso furniture HOWEVER, it is slightly DARKER than the other furniture. I also bought the Baby Mod Cadence Crib, and it looks nice with it!! I would recommend!
This piece of furniture has such a beautiful, rich color and was easy to put together, took me less than an hour. I will not actually be using it for another couple months, but noticed, as with all other baby furniture I looked in person, that the wood is very soft and dents easily. I'm hoping with a little care that it will last for at least 5 years. However, for the price, it's a very beautiful piece of furniture.
I CHANGE THE HANDLES
we bought the Dresser/Hutch combo and it is great quality for being from Walmart and not a furniture store. Sooo many pieces to put together though especially the dresser. The directions were pretty good but would help to have little sticker numbers on pieces for faster put together.
As far as a hutch goes, this does its job. It matches the Storkcraft dresser well, however, it is slightly tedious to put together and it is made mainly of particle board. If you want something that is going to last, you may want to invest in an all-wood piece of furniture. The only really frustrating facet is that the top has a curved wooden piece so whereas my original plan was to buy cloth baskets and slide them in, the baskets for the top shelf had to be smaller. The height between the three tiers is not uniform.
I ordered the combo beatrice changing table and hutch and although it looks awesome assembled (like something out of Pottery Barn Kids but 1/3 of the price) The traditional contour changing pad does not fit where it is supposed to go - you literally have to stuff it in there which is ok for a baby but once they get older I would think it woud get difficult to change a baby that does not lay still. Also on the same line as that, the shelf is extremely close to where you lay the baby so you should excercise extreme caution when picking up the baby that you dont bump the baby on the first shelf. Had I known this I would not have purchased this product. Its too late now as everything is assembled. At least it looks good!
when we took this product out of the box my husban and his dad thought it looked a little dinged up like someone had put it together and returned it but we gave it a try.. it looked great but one of the sides were cut a half and inch too long!!! i either could have returned it (and i did) or had things rolling off to one side.. so good luck when getting yours
I purchased this hutch in hopes of having some more space for my daughter's books, etc. When the hutch is added to the dresser, you cannot use the changing table. THe hutch cuts off about 3 inches from the total length of the dresser making it too short for standard changing pads. My product was also shipped without one of the pieces. I have had a lot of problems with Storkcraft and I would recommend going with another company and saving your money.
Really should be a better way to attach the hutch to the dresser. Also the hutch pieces are not marked
