Tried lots of different things. Mostly raising the head of the bed but the mattress kept sliding down and we would slide down with it so really wasn't getting any benefit. These wedge pillows make all the difference. Very comfortable, no snoring, better night sleep. Great price.
This is 5" high and most of the ones I am able to find are 7 & 8 inches high and that is not comfortable for me as a side sleeper. So when I needed to replace my old one I was so please when Walmart had this for a really great price. I have seen them online and in stores for $50.00 and up. Also most of them were not the lower 5" high. Thank you for making this product available at such a good price. It was so good I went ahead and got two.
I have Acid Reflux and my Dr told me to sleep on a couple of pillows which was not comfortable for me. A friend recommended the wedge. I did some searches and they were all 7" or more which I felt would be to high. Other complaints i read were they were hard and most I found were costly. Found this one on Walmart, ship site to store. It's 5" at the highest and quite comfortable. I love the ripple effect rather than an all flat surface. Not to big as to "invade" my husbands space. Thanks Walmart for coming through again. I would highly recommend this foam wedge.
Overall, I am happy with the purchase. I selected this model as another reviewer had mentioned that the higher pillows were uncomfortable and made sleeping difficult. I use two pillows with this and find that I am resting well. My acid reflux seems to have abated during the night--a good thing and the reason I purchased the pillow. The narrow end of the wedge was torn slightly when it arrived, but I kept it and haven't regretted that decision. I can also turn over on my side and sleep, which is extremely important for comfort. In short, very satisfied especially when comparing the price of some of the other pillows.
My dr prescribed a wedge for acid reflux issues. The problem I had with other wedges was that they were closer to 7" thick, which would have been too extreme for my needs. This one is about 5" thick and still takes some getting used to. Comes with its own cover--a good thing!
My sister had one for years and loves it so we purchased one for parents and one for me. I originally purchase another wedge pillow for them but my father does not find it as comfortable as this one because it was higher. I recently I had a cold and the pillow really helped my breathing by keeping my head elevated. Price wise it was the best I found comparing to other websites and delivery was great. I live in ny and there is no walmart near so I had it shipped to a Fed Ex location and I was really surprised how quickly both pillows arrived. Definitely recommended .
My relatively new and very expensive mattress is sagging on both side and seems to have the main support down the middle. No matter what side I slept on I was having a hard time staying on the mattress. Bought 2 of these wedges and put one on each side of the mattress where my lower beach to upper legs go (24" on this wedge) and stuffed it between the mattress and boxspring. Works perfectly. It elevated the low spots on each side and I don't roll off the bed. Hope the hold their form for a long time. But I recommend this instead of buying another $2000 mattress.
I read all the reviews before I bought it. I like this item, however, I have also awoken to many stiff necks too. I used another pillow on top of it a few times, but that hurt my neck even more. IT DOES NOT FIT INTO A pillowcase for a size 26 x 26, or at least the one I found (hard to find at that) fits too tight. I use it with the ripple part down and it has been extremely comfortable. I state I have mixed feelings about it because sometimes I get great sleep and other times, I wake with a neck ache. It does help my GERD and I like using it over raising up my bed on blocks or risers. I didn't return the item because I like using it up against the wall and you can use it under your feet/legs, so there are multiple uses for it. And the price is good too! I am hoping it will turn around and be good all the time, but we will see.
When product first arrived, I couldn't believe how thin, lightweight and basic it was. It seemed as though I could have made the product myself with egg crate and sewn a sheet over it with a zipper - and I don't even know how to sew! On the other hand, it's light enough to carry from the bed to the living room or where ever. It helped a bit with the swelling of my ankles, if I could get it to stay put a night. Also, the slight ripples on the incline of the product added to the comfort.
The Beatyrest by Simmons pillow is functional. It has no smell at all. The pillow case is a light fabric, but adequately made. The pillow meets my needs for relief from gastric reflux by sleeping on a wedge pillow. Unfortunately, the picture on W-M's website is WRONG, the actual physical pillow delivered to me has a wedge that ends at the thin end not in a 1-2" cut but about a 1/4" thickness. This is adequate to raise a short person's torso to relieve gastric reflux symptoms, but not for someone around 6' tall. I had to build a wooden platform positioned at the wedge's thick end (5.5") to hold my regular pillow in order to effectively lengthen the 24" wedge to about 30-35" so my entire upper body is on the slope of the wedge.
