This is not the same as the DRI TEC 5.0 pad, but it is temperature neutral if not cooling and a very nice mattress pad for the purposes of catching allergens, dust and mites and the waterproof factor to protect your mattress warranty. I didn't want to pay $150 so this hit the spot and I can say, I have zero complaints!
this is the 3rd mattress cover i have tried. this one is not slippery ( So these sheets don't slide around on top of the protector) also, the part of the protector that goes around the side of the mattress is not too stretchy, So the mattress protector stays in place and does not move around.
I have a Bedgear mattress cover that is approx four years old and is like new. I love it. It washes great.
I was not happy with the product. it does not zipper around the entire mattress as I thought it would. the material buckles when I lay on it it's loose and my body. it's supposed to be waterproof but if it was in a flood and it doesn't zip up underneath the bottom of the mattress I believe that the mattress would be soaking wet. I may be wrong about this but I'm not sure. I feel the price is way too high for the product.
