I bought this for my 9 year old son for Christmas. My husband thought it was very cool also it seems to be well constructed and has a much better amp than other guitar packs I looked at. Now hopefully I will be able to find him guitar lessons.
JUST GOT IT YESTERDAY PLUGGED IT IN AND PLAYED COULDNT BELIEVE THE SOUND. FOR THE MONEY THIS IS A PERFECT GIFT FOR ANY PERSON WHO WANTS TO PLAY GUITAR FOR THEIR FIRST. I WOULD EVEN COMPARE THIS TO AN IBANEZ SMOOTH AND EASE OF SOLOS. GREAT PRODUCT!
We got this guitar for our son for Christmas and so far it is great. It has really nice sound and it comes with everything you need to play right out of the box. We have a friend who plays in a band and even he thinks it is a very nice high quality looking and feeling guitar.
I got this guitar pack in Christmas holiday for only $90 dollars from Wal-mart. What a great price and purchase!!! The Amp is good and loud enough for room practicing, it sounds beyond my expectation, it has a rich low and mid tone and a clean high tone. Distortion is well enough to play softrock music. Definitely need to get an effect padal to maximize the potential it held! The guitar has a nice black-finished body and headstock, but the one I got has some flaws and scratches on the neck which I barely notice. Other than that it is awesome!!!!! The frets and fingerboard look a bit "old" because they trapped dust and debris in the gap when I got it out of the box. The strings are better than I expected but you could still replace them immediately if you really want to. The picks are cool!!!it comes with 3 different thickness unlike others and it serves its purpose most importantly. And the gig bag is basically a bag, it can't protect your guitar, put it aside and get a stand will do. All in all, a nice guitar pack for beginner or intermediate player who is looking for a low priced guitar pack.
I bought this guitar for my 14 yr old son this Christmas. A friend of mine who knows alot about guitars looked at it before we gave it to him. My neighbor was blown away by the guitar and the amplifier that came with it. He was amazed at the quality for the money. My son loves it. The guitar is sleek in design and good quality. If you have a young guitar buff this is a great guitar for anyone.
I bought the guitar for my son for christmas of 08 . Although niether of us know how to play a guitar it was a tough choice for me to find a guitar for him to learn on . I hope for him i made a good choice . Only time will tell . I can say so far he realy seems to love it alot and he is showing me some strong intrest in the guitar . I think its made well for a guitar seems to be like it should be a good choice for a beginer , And the amp sounds realy good and clean . We did ad a guitar tuner to help us out but it was ready to play right out of the box .
this entire package shipped to me cost $108.97, well worth it, the guitar looks great, and sounds great too, i agree that it is on par with a lower end Ibanez. the amp is also very powerful for its size. overall an excellent purchase
I bought this for my 17 yaer old son and he loves it, it plays good and sounds great.
I play drums and my 11 year old son decided he wanted this guitar. I normally purchase all my drum equiptment from instrument stores (musiciansfriend.com;guitarcenter.com;samash.com;etc...) all those stores had this same item for $149.00 but a week before christmas they were all sold out. I never dreamed walmart would carry this but i decided to search and sure enough, not only did they carry it, but it was $90 bucks! (plus a lil' shipping) and it was shipped to me in 2 days! I feel this entire package is an excellent value. the guitar is very well built and the amp is absolutely fine for a beginning guitarist. We actually get a pretty good crunch out of the amp (we're rock/metal fans). The only thing that should be included is a tuner but you can pick them up cheap, in fact i got ours at walmart for $11. My son is having a good time just making his own sounds and getting the feel for it before we start taking it serious, he hasn't put it down since xmas, but hes pretty serious about music.
It's a great starter set for my son. All that you need comes with it. It's even fun for an old dude like myself. Sounds good and after one month i already have to tell him to turn it down,(just kidding) we play together.
