This fits my mountain bike perfectly. It's easy to install and perfect for everyday use. I can toss my beach towel and keys in there and remove it easily to carry with me to the pool. Perfect! :)
A very nicely made and convenient basket. Easy to mount, strong and easy to release. You can actually take it off and do a little shopping & carry your goodies in the store and the ride home.
Would have been easier to install if the screws had been 1/4 inch longer but with the help of vice grips, I got it installed on my 32" beach cruiser. It is very stable and sturdy using the support with a tie wrap (supplied) going to the handlebar stem. The plastic mounting bracket appears to be a high quality thermoplastic. I really like the quick release button. I recently rode 4 miles to the local supermarket (I'm 72) and purchased a gallon of milk and 16 cans of cat food. No problem with the basket carrying it. It did affect the steering a little but wasn't really bad. Other than the short mounting screws, this is the best basket I have found at any price.
I bought this to carry my 5lbs chihuahua around in. I put black duck tape all over it inside and out so her nails wouldnt get stuck in the little holes of it. It holds her no problem. It is removable with the push of a button but I never remove it. It has held up to about 10 lbs of groceries no problem. i like that it doesnt have those dumb side braces that go down to the wheel area. It press against the bike's steering stem for extra support. just keep in mind that when you have something in the basket and are parking the bike it can tip over the bike from any extra added weight. great basket over all!
This basket takes a little longer to install than the ones that simply hook over the handlebars but it more durable and easy to use. It is a good size. I can put a nice beach towel and bag with water suntan lotion and misc. without worrying about losing my load. I've also bungee'd larger items to the basket and it holds up well and keeps it's shape. I've bought 3 of these and then another 3 for the family bikes. I wouldn't have bought the second set if I wasn't pleased with them!
The basket fits nice on my Next Amplfier and doesn't interfere with the normal bike riding functions. I carry 5 lbs. plus all the time, like potatoes and other grocery products. It also acts as a stabilizer when I for instance toted a 24 package of bottled water almost a mile. I don't recommend it, because it takes some skill and perseverance, but if not for the basket, I couldn't have made that trip. CJ
Price was excellent and with shipping and tax it was way cheaper than I have seen it at the store. I am looking forward to using the release feature so that I can take my items from bike into my home worth ease. Thank you.
It's fairly spacious and very light. The installment is super easy as well. The only problem is that you have no safe way of locking it up with the bike.
I like the depth of this good looking black wire basket . All I needed was a screwdriver and a plastic cable tie for easy installation . Once installed, it feels quite sturdy and secure . This is a good buy .
I know what you are thinking, how hard can it be to put a basket on a bike. Well, if you want to turn your handle bars correctly and it not push down on your fender when you put something in your basket, you will know what I meant. I could not find a way to protect my fender as this basket required a certain tilt to be able to remove it. So you will have to choose, do you want to be able to take the basket off, or do you want to damage your fender.
