I've always stuck to my tried and true favorites, but I recently branched out and tried this for the first time, not knowing what to expect. What exactly was Phish Food? I still don't know, but I LOVE IT! Maybe it's the chocolate base that "hides" the almond flavor more easily than vanilla flavors? It's now my new favorite. I've sort of grown accustomed to dairy-free ice creams not tasting as good as regular ice cream, but this tastes just as good! I can eat this and not even realize it's dairy free. It's a miracle. Plus it has a nice mix of textures with the marshmallow and added crunch of the chocolate fish. I'm going to stock my freezer with this from now on and I hope they never discontinue it.
This was an awesome treat! I love that it's non-dairy! I will be trying the other flavors, but I can't imagine any being more delectable than Phish Food! An extreme Chocolate Delight!! WOW!
Like other reviewers, I have been requesting a non-dairy version of this flavor since Ben and Jerry's started putting out non-dairy ice cream. I was walking down the aisle of the store skimming the ice cream but thinking I probably wouldn't get any - when there it was on the shelf! I bought two and couldn't resist getting into one within an hour or so of getting home. It is sweet and rich and lives up to its dairy counterpart. Absolutely excellent. Thank you Ben and Jerry's!
Creamy, smooth, rich chocolate ice cream with yummy marshmallow throughout, caramel swirls & best of all— the fudge fish 🐠 ! Such an amazing pairing of flavor and texture - and it's basically impossible to not eat it all in one sitting (BUT if you don't the convenient lid is a nice touch! 🙃) It's one of my favorite of the Ben and Jerry flavors. Only wish it came in larger size 🤭
It has been a very long time since I have had the dairy version - vegan over 20 years. This was such a treat to try. The marshmallow really is a nice texture mix with the chocolate base and I loved the fudge fish. Thank you! Definitely my current non-dairy favorite.
I am so happy. Phish Food has always been my fave ice cream but found out I was allergic to dairy around 10 years ago. I have been waiting for a dairy free Phish Food and it is finally here. This is best dairy free ice cream. Hands down.

Not fish food! Sadly this is the worst non-dairy version of a beloved masterpiece. Should have given it a different name rather than ruin the reputation of the original. It's absolutely gross! My family absolutely loves Ben & Jerry's. We almost always buy 10-12 pints at a time. This is the first time I've ever been embarrassed by one of their products.
